How I got the idea for this book is not an interesting story, but to answer Susan, I wrote this book on a suggestion from my daughter. She knows how much I love suspense and monsters. So, while we were looking at one such movie, she says, "Why don't you write one, then?"
When she says things like that, the characters and storyline slowly grows in my head. That's how this book came about:)
Sixteen year-old Mira is an Egyptian girl who lives a quiet life in her small village in Lower Egypt 3303 B.C.E. But two visitors from the planet Aut are about to change that. The first “flying metal” that whips across the sky carries a murderous plague by the name of Demen. The second one that follows, brings a bounty-hunter named Weir. Against her father’s wishes, Mira becomes Weir’s accomplice in his mission to apprehend Demen before another woman dies by his hands.
But there’s a problem: Demen is now a powerful Pharaoh in the city of Sharkura. Will apprehending him cost Weir and Mira their lives?

Hello everyone, I'm Kelly Stock an indie author. My first ever novel, The Soul Guide is out on Amazon kindle now. It's been hovering in the top 100 Hot New Releases in contemporary fantasy and low fantasy (in the U.K.) since it's release on the 18th Feb 17, but I can't seem to get any more reviews than the one (and only) I have currently. Anyhow, it would be great to get some advise. I seem to be chasing my tail when it comes to marketing and promoting my book!! How long does it take for a book to show up on Goodreads? I used my own ISBN, which I filled out in Bowkers. Yet a few days later when I try to add it, shows as unfindable. By the by, GoodReads staff, your spellchecker is highlighting 'goodreads' as a misspelled word. Perhaps you might want to call that an allowed word.

My Grandfather on his dying bed asked me to pray and he would be my guardian angel. There are 28 episodes related to the books and I am enlisting one example. In 1956 I cam down with polio in an era when there was no medication. I woke up in the hospital half paralyzed. Upon realization I concluded that I would kill myself if there was no improvement. At that moment a massive wind passed through the window and a female doctor walked into the room. She said " I understand you have a problem" and I pondered "how does she know". if any event after a swift examination she said "you will be alright" and departed. As she departed the regular nurse entered and I asked her "who is that female doctor that just passed you". She responded "We have no female doctors in this hospital". Two or three days later I departed totally cured.

On July 1, I released my second novel: The Secret of Siam My wife and I traveled to Thailand for two weeks on our honeymoon. Throughout the trip, I was in constant awe of the culture, the history, and the places that we were fortunate enough to visit. This historical fiction novel is, in a way, a love letter to the Kingdom of Thailand, celebrating the beauty, mystery, and wonder I experienced there.
