Another series by rick riordan is the Kane chronicles. It's themed after the Egyptian gods and goddesses, and magic does take a toll.

I bought that and have yet to read it. Way too many books way to little time :)

Exactly. I have a veritable personal library, and new additions come in weekly or monthly. I read too fast though, and get bored and play video games :)

I wish I could read fast. I read fast when I'm alone and it's quiet. But I'm such a slow reader. :)

When I'm alone with a really good book, I think I'm reading slowly, a pass five chapters, look at the clock, and two minutes have passed. It's kind of a curse!

I am fast too, but like Elizabeth, I do need quiet!

By the way Elizabeth, you're a fellow swimmer, right? What's your time for fifty yards? Mine is 9.something on a good day:)

I have no idea :) it's been about 2 years since I've been on the swim team (I quit to play basketball for my school). I wasn't very fast

I played a bit of basketball too in my younger years! (translation: a year ago)
