Purging the Membership List
I'm impressed with the effort you will be undertaking, Whitney. (And do not disagree with it -- members who contribute thoughtfully reward us all.) I just did a quick check, and on 83 pages of members, it looks as if '0' contributors start on page 16!
Whitney wrote: "I'll take breaks when my mouse finger starts aching :-)"Don't give yourself repetitive strain injury (e.g., a carpal tunnel type injury)! (I did recently and am still seeking the right physical therapy to recover. The first few weeks were muscle pain; now I'm apparently dealing with nerve damage.)
My favorite animals are owls! I shall try to be active from now on! Thank you.
chickens! :)I think I've only read one book with the group, but do regularly lurk and keep tabs on the current books you are reading. I just haven't made the time to fit in the books from all my groups. :(
Really no need to explain or apologize, lurkers are more than welcome. We only get shirty at people who nominate or vote on books and then don't participate.
Repetitive strain injuries suck, hope you have a steady and uneventful recovery!
A fine assortment of animals so far. I probably could have predicted the owl answer...

very cool whitney! I actually had to google weevil to see what they look like. They are pretty darn gross.
Haven't thought about a favourite in a while, I'm partial to nightingales at the moment! I'm a big lurker, though I try to participate in discussions now and then!
I don't know if Whitney can identify the last time we have posted for doing her purge, but should we presume members know how to pull down the member list from the upper right and check their own status? (A few random checks suggests a number of lurkers [at least, can probably be presumed] are asking to stay linked. Hope some of you will come join the conversations!)In fact, I just discovered if one hovers over one's name, one can retrieve one's comment history.
I don't have a particular animal that I love. But I do love books and I've learned a lot from you by lurking on this list!

The easiest and safest way to insure you're not deleted is simply to post a comment in this thread. First pass through the members list I'll just delete members who joined before 3/2016 and who have made zero comments in the group. Plus I'm enjoying seeing people's choices of animals.
Also, in hitting the delete button hundreds of times, I will probably make mistakes. Anyone finding themselves accidentally removed from membership, my apologies in advance. Please reapply and please don't take it personally.

I know there are people who just like to lurk, and that's perfectly fine. Just comment with the name of your favorite animal below and you won't get deleted. And, obviously people can rejoin if they accidentally get erased.
If you have any doubt about your status, go ahead and post below. Thanks!
