Unfortunately, I already got Konosuba ordered (gonna be a bit though since I got it with some other stuff that won't ship out until August). This is one that I wish I hadn't checked out the anime for before reading, though I suspect I might like reading scenarios more than watching them on TV. =]

What's that?

It's basically a plastic sleeve for holding papers.

Ah, I thought it was like a fake game clear file, or a file for your nails maybe, but it's a folder type file thing.

I tried Bookwalker. The prices are good, but there's no way for me to force the text to be read to me with robot voice on the computer (even J-Novel books that don't have selectable text I can have read with an extension). Since they aren't Epub downloads, that's a no go on my cell phone's app too. Last resort would be trying accessibility mode on my phone with talkbalk or something, but I don't know that that'd work great.

I'll keep trying stuff.

Edit: I figured I'd mention the TTS thing to Bookwalker Global on Twitter, and they said they'd look into it and it sounded interesting. Obviously no promises, but fingers crossed they'll enable it some day. =P

Yeah, the downside to Bookwalker is that the books are encrypted for their app so beyond reading them on-screen, you're probably SOL. :(

I don't like the way they word this like you can use the coupon multiple times.

Terms: "Coupon can be used more than once to purchase English eBooks"

When I go to use it again I get: "The number of times this coupon is allowed to use has reached limit"

I actually did (on Twitter). And they now have an apology on the page for the 15 percent off promotion saying it wasn't active, and they have activated it (I used it just before midnight last night; dunno if the sale is still active).

[Notice] The 15% off coupon was not available for more than one usage between July 11th 09:00 PM - July 17th 06:30 PM (PDT). We deeply apologize for the inconveniences caused.

So once again, I come to the rescue with asking someone on social media about a sale (earlier in the month, I talked with B+N on Twitter about getting some of the other LN on Yen Press sale, like Magical Raising Project). 😂

I appreciate that they at least communicate with the fans, though stinks there was that mess up with the Bookwalker promotion. Probably some missed sales for them.

Bookwalker Japan has a promo going on right now until the 21st of December for a few free Japanese language only manga. This is pretty popular stuff, like Flying Witch, Attack On Titan, and Tsuredure Children.

I don't know if the volumes expire, but the promotion definitely does by the 21st, so go get em. I just got them to be able to look at the pictures for a few I'd already rented and read from the library, along with looking at some series I hadn't read / aren't translated (Abyss).

Yes, Bookwalker Japan always has promos for free manga going so it's a good resource if you're learning Japanese. :) You can tell if a freebie is time limited because it will have an end date listed on the site and a clock icon on the book cover in the app - once you exceed the time, you can no longer read the book and can only delete and archive it.

Unfortunately I haven't come across any light novel freebies on the site (apart from ones that you need a magazine promo code for) so it's best to stick to other sites if you're looking for those.
