SOS: Serious Overload of Series discussion

Because my birthday is this month (but really because I had to come up with categories quickly), June is all about me!

Duration: June 1-30, 2014
This means you can include any book already in progress as long as it was started in June.

Goal: Read 4 books (because square numbers are cool) from categories based on a few of my favorite things.

Categories
1. My favorite color is yellow, so read a book with yellow on the cover. It doesn't have to be the most prevalent color, but it does have to be obvious. And lucky you, if you started the current BSB shelf on June 1 or later.

2. I love cooking. Read a book with food on the cover, a chef/baker character or a restaurant setting.

3. I love to sing. Read a book where music plays an important part of the story. Tell us why it is important -- one of them is a musician, they went to a concert, he serenaded her, etc.

4. I love new releases, being able to open that book that I've been waiting a year on and immerse myself into a favorite author's word. Read any book published in 2014.

5. I love my friends. Read a book where the main character receives help from or helps out a friend. Or read a book from one of your friend's shelves.

6. I love finding hidden treasure. Read something new. A new author, a new series or a new stand alone.

7. One more category because I love prime numbers too. I love to read. This is the gimme category. Read any book, any book at all.

@Steph, if you are doing this challenge I've noticed that you read a few Cherise Sinclair books. The Starlight Rite would work for the music category, the MC is a singer. The only thing is that it's light BDSM compared to her other series but it's a stand alone book and it's on your TBR list.
