I've had this one forever so I'm happy the group picked it so I can finally get this one read! I've heard nothing but good things!!
This is a really good book, overall. It feels a little disconnected in the beginning, but I love the time jumps and how you get a few points of view to let you see more of the world. And it BUILDS with every page and chapter toward an ending that's pretty awesome. Hope you all enjoy it!
PS- this author is GOING PLACES. His books are selling really well and he is plugged into the author community. And guess what? JN Chaney and I are planning to co-write a SciFi series later this year!

Thanks Victoria! It might be a while before it's released, but should be a fun new experience co-writing with someone :)

I find this happens so often. I think, Oh, that is a book I would love to read and go to download it and I already have it! Well, I'm ready for the apocalypse. As long as I can keep my kindle charged.
I started this really late (or early a.m. as it's now 1:30 in the freaking morning). I just wanted to glance at the first few pages. I'm 13% in and do not want to put this down. But.... dang work!
Really great start. Love the premise!

I'm about 75% done. I like how he does transcripts at the beginning of chapters.

Karen:If I'm remembering correctly, it's sort of hinted at towards the end of book one, but you get more of an explanation in book two.

Yes, I think that's correct.
