Discworldathon 2017 discussion

Which book is this months read? I tried following the links but cannot find which book we should all be reading this month?

I've been on webereading.com where Kristen is hosting March Magics but its not clear if there is a readalong happening. It looks like some people are reading Mort (from the comments) and there is mention of the Death series. I think I might give Reaper Man a go.

It can be a little tricky finding the Discworldathon posts within the blogs. I still had a tab open with the post from previous browsing, so here's the direct link :

But for reference, the schedule for Discworld novels is :

Week 1: Mort
Week 2: Reaper Man
Week 3: Soul Music
Week 4: The Thief of Time


There hasn't been any Readalong threads created yet, is anyone free to create them?

I'd read Mort and Reaper Man last month (started prior to finding the Discworldathon), so i started this month with Soul Music.

I wouldn't have the time to read all four in March anyway.

I'm going to try an squeeze Hogfather in between Soul Music and The Thief of Time. As its my first time through the series and don't really want to skip a book in the series reading order.

Thanks Scott, I wish I knew before that we were intending on a book a week. And glad I wasn't the only one who could not find the right link for the order. Between work and reading I will try to get through as many as I can with you all. I will soon start on Reaper Man as that's the first in this list I have just got in hardback edition. Thanks again for your quick response.

I'm just now starting Mort....so behind. I was confused about March as no posts appeared here..... I feel better now that I see I wasn't the only one.

I'm just going to read and join in on any discussion that appears here at Goodreads rather than hunting down blog posts....

I'm with you there Juli, I'll happily discuss here at Goodreads. In fact I'll set up the March readalong threads if that's ok with everyone.

I think reading the books in order is good, especially when reading the series about The Watch, as the characters change rank as the time goes on. But others I don't think it really matters, there all funny. I found the hardest book to follow was 'The Fifth Elephant' Has anyone else read that one?
