What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

A lady in England has been corresponding with a readers group in the midwest and decides to accept their invitation to visit. When she arrives she comes to the home of her host only to find out she has recently passed away. The townspeople knew she was expected and encourage her to stay and visit. She gets to meet some people in the town but she is confused about why they would so welcome her. This book came out a couple of years ago and I started it somewhere, but did not get finished. If I could remember the title I would check it out again.
