The Ball Room is a large room that is part of the queens manor. It is elegantly designed for large occasions. The walls are lined up by marble pillers and windows that are three times the average humans size. Crystal chandlers hang around the room from the motif ceiling and the floor its self is designed with decorated brown marble. Female servants walk around carrying mixed wine and blood for everyone to take.

The queen stood at the double doors the of the room, her gaze scanning the room with a plastered smile on her lips. The guest were filing in, some with their feeders, and other alone. Elizabeth wore a black gown that had a deep V and flared from her waist. Her long dark hair cascaded in curls down her shoulders, and she wore a smokey eye look, and as always, she had her blood red lipstick on.

She slowly walked around, greeting a few people that approached her. Some she recognized from the city hall, others she's never seen before. But the amount of people that should up pleased her. This was one of her happiest moments for her, where her work finally payed off.

Live music softly played in the background and cold air came from the open doors of the balcony. Outside the stars shined bright in the dark sky. Everything was perfect to her. She didn't even let the encounter with Cupid earlier ruin her mood.

Emma Hana leaned against a column and glanced at her watch. Why was it that she was always waiting for Armis? Perhaps it had been poor planning on her part, but she had told him he could have the afternoon off. He could have some free time, although Hana wished he would come back soon, as the Queen was bound to come over at some point and ask about him. Hana smoothed down the sides of her gown and sighed. She was probably going to get in trouble for this. She did look nice though. Over the centuries, she had learned how to curl hair and apply makeup - two of the most useful skills one could learn. At the very least, the Queen couldn't accuse her of looking disheveled.

Armis rushed through the doors of the ballroom, of course after having some trouble with the guards. Of course he would be questioned about why he wasn't with his master, which really pissed him off. But thankfully, he managed to get through and now he was in the ballroom, looking for Hana.

It had taken him longer to get there since he figured he was due for a new outfit, and with the money she gave him he was able to get him dress pants, shirt, shoes. He should look nice if it was going to be at a ball, though he didn't agree with the celebration.

Armis glanced around at the many people walking around. He then noticed Hana standing alone dressed in blue. He smiled to himself as he sees her dressed up for the first time. He jogged up to her and by the time he reached, he was a bit breathless. "Hey..." He said as he tried to catch his breath. "Sorry I'm late."

message 5: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana brightened. "Hi!" she said. Armis had dressed up, thankfully. He looked nice. If he had shown up in a t-shirt, the Queen would have killed her. Not literally, of course. Well, one could never know with her. Hana tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "I'm glad you came. It would have been awful if you didn't." She nodded to the crowd around them. "Somehow it's possible for them to be boring and scary at the same time."

He looked around and nodded in agreement. He could see the way the females walked around proudly, some without their feeders and some with them, dragging them behind them as if they were objects. "Tell me about it." He said. It was sad, really, to see how the females just changed. How cruel and ugly people they have become. He wondered though, for a moment, if it was because they feared the Queen too much to rebel or because they always felt this way, and finally took the chance once presented itself. He turned away from everyone and looked back to Hana, giving her a quick look up and down. With a smile, he said, "you look lovely."

message 7: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana followed his eyes, watching him notice the other feeders. Was it unfair for her to bring him here? He seemed to be the only one who was walking around freely. She wondered if he felt trapped. Jesus, it made her feel guilty, although she knew that if she told him to run out of here, the Queen's guards would catch him in no time. She looked at him and watched his eyes look her up and down. It sent a chill down her spine - being watched wasn't a good feeling. "Thank you." she said in reply. "You do too. You clean up nice."

A small chuckle escapes his lips, getting a little cocky. It was just how he was, and nothing could change that part of him. Not even a new damn system. He pulls at his jacket and spoke in French, his first language, "Merci beaucoup." But despite the fact that he seemed to be having good time with her now, there was nothing that was going to change the fact that he was still a feeder. His smile fades, and he looked around again, a slight look of disgust in his eyes. "So what do we do? Just walk around?"

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 49 comments Yifei did not stray far from her master. The vampire was close on her heels, like a faithful guard dog. Like the faithful guard dog. She was not clad in the same formal wear as the others. She had opted for a more practical ensemble in regards to her duty, dressed starkly in black. Black pants tucked into thick boots, platformed and steel toed, had a black blouse tucked into it, covered by a leather jacket. Her hair, cotton candy bright, acted as a curtain to frame the stage of her round face. Her expression remained neutral, as if there was no need to decide if she wished to be here or not. And that was how it was; her duty was to follow her queen and protect her, just like the faithful guard dog she was.

bubblewaffles Pandora had a mask on as she snuck in, with her relatively clean clothes, which she had washed so she wouldn't stand out. She took a deep breath and looked around. It was beautiful, and she almost forgot why she was here. You're not here to drool... She chided herself, reminding herself that she was here to see the queen, and look for her mother, maybe talk some sense into her.

ƒαуzα...{Iɱ Ꮗҽíཞᗪ} (lovefayfay) | 392 comments Mod
Elizabeth walked around the ballroom. She continued to great the guest. But as she moved, she made sure to stay close to Yifei, her guard. This was an open event, and she wasn't sure who would be here and what intentions they had. But she kept a smile on her face and enjoyed her time. Though she did wonder where Alexander was. Even though he was her feeder, she had figured he could attended with her, as her date. Not because she liked him or anything, but it seemed to be reasonable to have a date to an occasion like this. After all, many people brought their feeders too. It was a good thing they were dressed up.

message 12: by bubblewaffles (new)

bubblewaffles Pandora stopped when the queen entered. Her eyes widened and she had to remind herself that the queen was a vampire. She thought that the queen looked nice. She adjusted her blue silk dress and the roses on her headband, feeling uncomfortable. She unconsciously inspected the queen's outfit and smacked herself on the head, reminding herself why she was here as she rubbed her now sore head.

ƒαуzα...{Iɱ Ꮗҽíཞᗪ} (lovefayfay) | 392 comments Mod
Elizabeth looked over to Alexander as he came to a stop beside her. Her dark brown eyes quickly scanned him, and she smirked. This was the first time she's seen him looking this nice, and it made her realize how he truly was handsome. More than she had thought in his room. "Thank you Alexander," she said, a bit pleased with him. Maybe he wasn't as bad as she thought. It was a good thing he was a loyal feeder. If he had been the total opposite, she probably would have had his head cut off by now. "You clean up well yourself." Elizabeth moves closer to him and hooks her arm with his before moving again. She goes back to looking around at her guest, looking at the dresses of the females. There was red, yellow, green, blue. They were all lovely, and the ladies themselves were lovely. "I hope you know this isn't anything serious," she tells Alexander, not looking at him as she nods to the passing people.

message 14: by bubblewaffles (new)

bubblewaffles Pandora wanted to run away, realizing the risks of being in the same ballroom as the queen, and she might as well have delivered herself on a silver platter. She realized the most dangerous thing would be to purposefully avoid her, as the queen would probably come over and ask her, which was another dead end. She started to wander around, looking at her feet so it didn't look like she was purposefully avoiding anyone. She looked at the bottom of her dress, happy that it covered up her dirty brown combat boots, since she couldn't wash it off and couldn't afford shoes.

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma Hana's head bent down as she picked at one of her cuticles. It was a bad habit, and she even remembered a time when it used to draw blood from her skin. Not so much anymore. "You can walk around, if you like." she said, looking up. She gestured around the room. Hana noticed the Queen walking with her feeder. "Look at that." she said, nodding in their direction. "The Queen is walking her dog."

She walked around with precariously balanced wine and champagne glasses, balancing the platter on her finger tips. message 17: by bubblewaffles (new)

bubblewaffles Pandora looked around at all of the people, dressed nicely and looking nice. She suddenly felt nervous. What if she was discovered? What if she didn't pledge loyalty to the queen? She inhaled and exhaled a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She adjusted her blue dress again, so it didn't get stuck to her body.

((Sorry for the absence. Something came up))

@Emma

Armis considered her offer of letting him walk around alone. But as much as he was tempted too, he highly doubted that would be a good idea. Seeing a feeder wonder alone would conjure up suspicion, and he didn't want to deal with the queen any time soon. Armis looked up when he heard Hana speak. He raised an eyebrow at the sight. The queen with a male, that was surprising. But he figured it was her feeder, though he was still surprised. But he didn't like how Hana had said that. Her dog? Is that what she thought of me? He pushed that thought away from now, and acted cool. "Surprising huh? Why'd you think she took him out?"

@lightwood and BubbleWaffles

"Good," said the Queen. She didn't want Alexander getting any thoughts after this. Of course she held led him on a few times, such as the last time they were in the room together. But that was all for fun, a way to entertain herself. He knew that. She continued to speak, as if was already over what she said to him. "Isn't this wonderful? Look at how much people showed up. This makes me so happy." She gleamed and looked around. But her eyes fell on a girl dressed in blue, who seemed to be fidgeting a lot. The queen watched her, but was careful not to let the girl notice. What's making her so nervous?

message 19: by Emma (new)

Emma "Guards talk, you know. So it's pretty common knowledge that he's obsessed with her." Hana said. "I mean, humans are still people. That's obvious. Just because I am what I am doesn't mean I'm better than you. But he...he is hardly anything at all. No personality, no drive, no...nothing. He is like a little puppy that follows her around. Perhaps she is humoring him tonight." Hana glanced at Armis. "He is different from feeders. I don't know many people who act like that. But you didn't hear any of this from me."

@Emma

"Damn..." He breathed. Amirs didn't understand how any could do that, just give up. Especially to the queen. What was it that made the feeder obsessed with the queen? "I can't fucken stand that," he said disgustingly. Though he was annoyed that anyone could give into this stuff and become what that feeder is, he was glad to hear Hana say she didn't view him like that. A servant passed by them, and Armis reached out to grab two champion glasses. "Here you go." He said and handed her one. Hopefully drinking out help speed up this night.

@Fiend

With a grunt, Ian jumped over the back bushes. Of course for a him, it would have been a bit harder if he was a human. But he was a vampire. Shocker, right. After escaping before the guards could find him, he found the uprising. There, he became what he is. Not because he was jealous of females and envied them. But because he needed the power they had to defeat them, thus giving him the strength he just used to jump over the bushes of the Queens garden. Ian's blue eyes scanned his surrounding, and was pleased to see no guard in sight. He was dressed in all black so he would be able to blend in with the shadows, having a small dagger tucked inside his leather jacket for help if he needed it. From inside the manor, music streamed through the open windows and balcony. I wonder how I'll get into her office without being seen, He thought to himself.

Yifei had decided it would be best to give the queen and her feeder some space. It was not that she cared, but her presence might interrupt any conversation they planned to have. At first, the pink-haired vampire stepped back only a small distance. This distance grew as the queen continued her walk around the ballroom to greet the guests and continue trivial interactions with the subjects in attendance. She felt that the other guards, while younger and less experienced, should be able to handle immediate threats. That, and she would be there in an instant should the queen call for her.

She turned and walked towards the balcony, gaze wandering over the view. She leaned wordlessly against the railing before closing her eyes. Everything before her was the same, after all. What would be the point in staring at a garden that would always have the same flowers grown as per the queen's liking. Rustling reached her ears, though at first she thought it might just be a breeze. But wouldn't she have felt it? Her eyes flew open and she looked down, scanning the gardens below. She caught sight of a figure moving in the darkness after a moment or two.

Rather than voice her presence, she swung herself easily over the balcony and down to the garden. Rising from her crouch, she glared over at the intruder. "I think you're going in the wrong way."

bubblewaffles Pandora was walking around when she froze. She turned and caught the queen's gaze on her and panicked. She didn't know what to do, and noticed that her feeder was also staring at her. She wanted to run, but her legs felt numb and she felt like her body was turning into jelly under their gaze. She pretended to not notice that they were staring at her and looked at the place in her tight dress where the shoes were supposed to be. Oh great. What do I do, what do I do, WHAT DO I DO! She was freaking out on the inside, and felt as if she wasn't able to move.

Emma Hana took the cup into her hands and looked at it. She smelled it, and immediately her body changed. Everything in her vision seemed hazy except for this chalice. Her muscles pounded, her fangs unsheathed. "There's blood in this." she murmured, dropping the cup to the floor. Her ears were ringing. She held a hand over her mouth so Armis couldn't see. She hadn't tasted blood in a long while, and usually she could contain herself. But in a simple cup, sitting right there, it was overwhelming. The drink splashed on the floor.

Armis had a smile on, just letting himself enjoy this moment with Hana. He didn't like where he was, or what he was doing, but for now he just wanted to let things go and enjoy his time with her. Except just as he handed him the glass, she held it only for just a few seconds before the glass cup slipped her hands and went crashing to the floor. He gasped in shock, both to her reaction and to what she said. But he was more concerned with her. "Hana!" He said and moved to hold her by the arm. But she seemed to be handling this by covering her mouth. But before she could, he noticed her fangs come out. He didn't know what to think. This was actually his fist time seeing her like this. He let go of her arm, not caring about the spilled drink or the guest around them. He just looked at her, the concept that she was a vampire and he was a human and nothing could change it came back to him.

@Lightwood and BubbleWaffles

With the girl turning and catching her gaze, the Queen managed to see the panic rise in her eyes. Elizabeth has been at this for years, and learned just how people work. How fear develops and how hope is carried with such pride, just to be crushed. Something about this girl made the Queen question her, and made her wonder what was causing her to panic. Of course there could to two reasons. One was that she envied the Queen too much and was nervous of actually meeting her or two, she was hiding something she knew the Queen would not be pleased with. What? Elizabeth wasn't sure yet. She felt Alexander's grip tighten on her, which brought her back to him for a moment and away from the girl. "Come," she said and glanced at him for a moment. She pulled Alexander with her towards he girl. She planed to learn who she was, and what was it that made her panic. Of course she acted cool about it, and approached her with a smile, as if she didn't know anything. As she does, she whispers to her feeder. "What do you think this girl could possibly have to hide?" Except before she could get his answer, or reach the girl, a loud crash came from their right. Elizabeth's gaze moved to look over the scene, embarrassed to have this happen at her ball. Her eyes narrowed as she remembered the girl, Hana. The girl she had told to get a feeder, and she did. But what was she doing now?

@Davy Jones

After reaching the manor and getting out the car, Vee made it into the doors with James. She didn't bother to speak with him as she drove. All she could think about was her actions. She still couldn't believe she was acting as his master just so he could see the Queen. That was crazy! A guy she just met, and she was working with him. Hopefully nothing happens and they don't get caught. If her heart was still beating, it would be pounding against her rib cage. "Don't do anything stupid," she tells him right before they walk into the ball room. Vee was dressed in a strapless purple dress that somewhat matched the purple grayish color of her hair, which was in an updo.

bubblewaffles Pandora felt more fear course through her legs as she noticed the queen heading towards her. She had known from her experiences that the more you run, the more suspicious you seem, so she didn't move. Not like she had any other choice. Her legs were getting more numb by the second. She felt the fear build up as the queen continued walking closer, and she fingered her dress nervously, as her palms were drenched with sweat. Even worse, her feeder was by her side. She was about to scream when the queen paused and turned to look at someone else. She felt herself letting go of a breath she didn't know that she'd been holding.

Vee walked by James side. They passed other vampires and their feeders, and luckily it seemed like no one seemed to notice, or care, that maybe their was something about her and James. So she started to relaxe. Maybe she didn't need to worry. Maybe she was just over thinking it. Vee glanced up to James and then looked back around. The place was filled, and everyone looked nice. Even the feeders. "So what now?" Vee asked James.

@Emma

Armis started to move after her. He didn't know what was going through her head, but he noticed that after she looked over to the Queen, it had to do with her. He stayed close to her, avoiding some of the people's eyes. "Let's go to the hallway," he whispers to her. He ignored her apology and just lead her to the doors. Right now she needed to be alone, and he needed to think about what's really going on.

@Lightwood and BubbleWaffles

The Queen looked away from Hana and her servant. She shouldn't waste her time with that girl. Instead, she looked at Alexander, who advised her to dismiss the girl before them. But he didn't get it. A vampire female panicking. For what reason? Of course Elizabeth assumed she was a vampire because she was dressed up. If she was a servant she needed to be dressed like the servants here and working. She ignored her feeder, and finally approached the girl. Immediately she said with a smile, "that's a lovely dress you have on. Blue suits you." Simple conversation. Then get to the point.

bubblewaffles "Thanks." Pandora responded quietly. She could feel the beads of sweat roll down her back. She had never been this close to the queen, or this panicked ever. She fingered her dress again before she stopped. She realized that it must've been what was giving her away. Stop fiddling. She chided herself, but couldn't help herself and fiddled with her fingers behind her back. Her palms were getting sweatier by the second and she realized that the longer the queen stood in front of her, the more she would give herself away. She looked around for the bathroom and realized the best thing to do would be to excuse herself to the bathroom. She looked around for it, since if she was a vampire, then she should know where the bathroom was.

Elizabeth looked over the girl once more, noticing how she hid her hands behind her back not to continue to fidget. Elizabeth narrowed her dark brown eyes and used her hearing to see if she could pick up a heart beat from the girl. But with the music playing, people chattering, and other heartbeats from the feeder and servants, Elizabeth wasn't sure if she was picking one up from the girl before her. I need to get her alone. With a smile, Elizabeth said to Alexander, "why don't you go talk to somewhere else, consider this a gift from me." This was the first time Elizabeth has let him go somewhere alone. She pulled her arm free from his and moved to the girls side, where she asked her, "what is your name darling?"

Vee stared at him as he explained the reason why he wanted to see the queen so bad. After a few seconds, she bursted into laughter. She couldn't help herself. He though his family knew the Queen? "Pandora," Elizabeth said her name, as if to test it out. "Well it's nice to me you Pandora." The Queen nodded her head in a greeting gesture, waiting to see what the girl would do. Normal, like the other guests that she has greeted would greet her back the same way, if not, then actually curtsy. She should know that, if she knew about the Queen of course. But by the way the poor girl was acting, Elizabeth assumes she would be to scared to even think about her next move.

Vee's smile weekened when James showed no emotion. He wasn't joking. "You actually believe in this family tale?" Vee asked him. "How do you even know if it's true? Vee took the sketch he had and looked over it, listening to what he said about it. Her eyes widened. "The Queen!" She looks back to him. "She looks exactly like the queen. Are you sure you never seen her before?" She asked James. It was hard to believe that he hadn't seen her if he drew that, unless this tale was real.

@BubbleWaffles

Just what I thought, Elizabeth smiled a little more. Her eyes scanned over her. She was shaking like a leaf, and Elizabeth could notice the beads of sweat on her. Plus, now that she was standing right next to her, she could pick up on her quick heart beat. Human. But the Queen didn't say anything. She kept this secret to herself, something she would have to think about later. But she was curious to why a human girl was here. Ether she was a servant girl that really really wanted to try fit in, or she was an under cover spy. "What's the matter dear?" She asked her, ales innocent.

Vee handed him the drawing back. "Wow," was all she could say. She would never have thought about a family being here. Now knowing this, she looked around the ballroom. She started to search for the Queen to. Why? She didn't know. "But... When you see her. What do you plan to do?"

Iroh "Maybe kill her I'm not sure" he answered he looked around and saw a lady with the most fancy dress out of everyone walking around.

Vee came to an abrupt stop. "What?!" She said to him in disbelief. She moved to grab his arm and force him to look at her. Her gaze quickly swept around the ballroom to make sure no one heard them. "Your crazy! You can't do that." She tells him, making sure to keep her voice down. If she knew that was the plane, she would have never agreed with him to come here in the first place. She would be an accessory of murder then.

Iroh He listened to what she said but at the same time his gaze was stuck on a women that was a near match to his drawing. Had he found her this question ran through his head along with other questions, he wasn't sure what to do now.

@BubbleWaffles

"You don't look to well," Elizabeth said in a tone of concern, though it really didn't matter to her. Now that Elizabeth had gotten the information she had seeked from her, she saw no use of her. Letting her go and not giving her a reason to believe she was on to her seemed like a good thing to do. She would return to where ever she came from, or who ever she came from, with the thought that the Queen didn't know anything. "Maybe you should go the bathroom, it's down the hall. Or the balcony for fresh air."

bubblewaffles "Thanks." Pandora said quietly, walking as fast as possible to the doors that look like bathrooms. She was so nervous she couldn't even feel her legs anymore as she dashed away to the hall, away from the queen.

Elizabeth watched the human girl scurry away. Pathetic, she thought to herself. She was glad that was done with. Elizabeth turned away from the girl and searched for Alexander. How was this human girl able to come in disguise? She should be watched by the council. I have to get to the bot- Elizabeth train of thoughts was cut off when she held a gaze of a male. Not Alexander's, who she was looked for, but a set of blue familiar eyes. Of course the person wasn't familiar. But those eyes..... Elizabeth gasped as James flashes through her eyes. Her James. The one she fell in love with many centuries ago.
