The double doors, which are always opened, leads to the balcony. The white marble balcony looks out to the garden behind the manor.

Ian froze as he heard movement, and before him he watched as a figure jumped over the balcony and landed on the ground gracefully. Wonderful, he smirked to himself. Normally, one would be pissed to be caught. But in all honesty, Ian wasn't afraid but amsused of how this would go. He straightens up and stands before stepping out of the shadows.

"Really? I thought the bakery was this way?" Ian said sacristicly. He looked over the female that stood a few feet away from him. From the light that fell out of the windows and somewhat light up the garden, he noticed he pink headed girl in gear. A guard too. He thought to himself. He knew that he was supposed to leave, try not to get expose and reveal what he is, just like his orders from his boss told him. But he couldn't help himself.

Ian racked his gloved hand through his long brown hair. "It's hard getting around these streets. Taking the wrong turn and you can end up someplace else." He softly chuckled to himself, a devilish grin on his face.

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 49 comments The intruder stepped out of the shadows, and Yifei appraised him mentally. He was fit, from what she could tell, and obviously prepared. She knew already that she was right in her assumption of his intentions, and in that vein of thought, supposed he did not come unarmed. He would need the advantage he thought a weapon would give him against the unarmed guard. But there was likely not much he could do to her. Years of life had made her stronger than most, especially given her constant training.

His sarcasm was not graced with a response. Her glare lifted, as she had decided the amount of effort that would be required in taking this man down. He was met with an unimpressed expression as she stared him down for a moment longer. His words, though she suspected they were meant to be charming in some way, were useless.

"You have two choices," Yifei began, voice even and monotonous, "You can turn back and face no repercussions unless you try this again, or I can lead you personally to the holding cells and we decide your fate from there." From all the years she had given those options, most had turned tail and fled. Of course they would; most had already been acquainted with stories of the queen's guard, perhaps the most noticeable of all the guards.

Ian couldn't help but role his eyes at her threat. "Blah. Blah. Blah. Do you hear yourself?" He asked her. "It's like they brainwashed you and programmed you to speak in such a boring way." Ian went on to pester her. Not a wise choice, some would say. Ian wasn't stupid though, of course after being warned by the uprising that if he was to see a pink haired guard, that he needed to retreat. She was the queens best guard, her first choice, and apparently the most boring one. So he knew what he was getting himself into.

"Is staying without needing to fight you a choice?" He asked, moving forward with slow steps. The lights from the balcony and windows castes shadows on his face and lighting up his devilish smirk. He had his gloved hands up in the air as if to show he was no threat, not because he didn't want to fight her- because with all the anger he had bottled in him and made him into the fighter he is, he really did want to fight her- but because he could drag this on a little longer.

Though he was playing games and entertaining himself at the moment, at the back of his head he debated rather or not he should fight her hand to hand if it came to it. Or should he try to use the dagger he had, to act as if he needed it to defend himself because he wasn't as strong as her, and then escape without revealing himself. The later one didn't seem fun to him, but he knew it was necessary. Besides, he could use a little of his speed and strength against her. Just so he wouldn't look too pathetic.

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 49 comments She remained unfazed by his attitude and words, blinking slowly as he spoke. This was no more than a delay tactic. Delaying the inevitable, of course. Either he would take the option to run and save himself a life in servitude or death, or he would attempt to fight her. She could see in the way he spoke that he would not be compliant if she was to bring him in. Arms at her side, she allowed his banter. He would likely keep it up even after she had him pinned.

"No," she replied, blinking once more. Her expression did not change as he observed his features in the waning light. If fear was something she still felt in her tired existence, she was sure a lesser version of herself would have felt it. Instead, it was the cold recognition of an adversary preparing themselves that registered within her. She took an easy step forward, a challenge. It would not matter who approached first; Yifei knew herself to be capable of taking him down.

She figured there was some kind of decision weighing on him when he fell silent. She knew not, and she did not care, what this decision was. She remained at an advantage. She had years of experience, where he likely had few. Her vampirism afforded her enhanced physical capabilities; his human frame was much weaker. Her age, as well, had boosted this strength, made her stronger. She might not have been as old as her queen, but she was as powerful — if not more — as any vampire there was. "Your time is running out."

Ian debated for a little longer, maybe logic would take over and stop him from risking his true form. But it didn't, especially since he and logic didn't go together. "Sure we could dance a little," he said with a shrug, moving his hands that was still in the air into a position where he was offering her a dance. One hand behind his back, and the other held out to her, he waited with a grin. But instead something else stopped from continuing on.

Just then his ear bud on his left ear went on, and from it came Yamyas voice, who at the moment was in the hallway of the manor. His hand that was held out went to his ear held the earbud in place as he listened to her voice. Abandon mission, I've been injured! Her voice rang into his ear. Shit, he thought. Great. Now he had to leave.

Straining up, and smirk gone, Ian spoke again. "Seems like I have to go, strawberry. But maybe next time we could have some fun." With that he quickly backed away from her. With one wave and a grin, he turned around and sprinted back to the bushes where he used his strength to jump over the bushes again.
