Hello! We will begin reading The Statement of Stella Maberly on March 26th. Everyone is welcome. So far it's me & Kimberly.

I soo wanted to read this but don't want to buy it yet.

I can't wait--I've never been disappointed by a book Valancourt has published. :)

18% in, and I really like it so far.

Yep, ha ha! Stella is not a very likeable character. I have a bad feeling where all this is headed.

32% in, and the plot is going strong! I have no sympathy for Stella. Karma can be a bummer;-).

Finished it, and loved it!!

What did you guys think was the deal with Evelyn? (view spoiler)[ I thought she was really possessed by the evil spirit. I could see it going the other way, too, though. I also did have some sympathy for Stella by the end! She was either completely insane, or trying to save Hugh from a horrible marriage to a monster. (hide spoiler)]

I haven't finished yet. I paused to read Savage.

Of course, after the fact, nobody would believe Stella without Hugh to at least back up the fact that Evelyn was acting "unusual". Besides, her body was also physically deteriorating at that point. Exactly. Animals' reactions always get to me--how can you deny them? I've had a few experiences in the past (in an old apartment building) with cats that I had at the time, and there was no question in my mind that they were sensing something I couldn't see.

nope! nope! I would've ran like a scaredy cat right out of there.

I finished. it wasn't that bad! I think she was really possessed but I never saw Hugh's end coming.

This book sounds interesting. What genre would you guys classify it as?
