rose (rose33) | 1000 comments This floor overlooks the main floor of the library, and has a lot of small and private reading areas... and of course, more books!

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 366 comments Sorin was undoubtedly pissed, but she had to say it had been a good play. Taking her out the way Willa had done was something almost right out of her own playbook. And now she was left with the sprained ankle. Which, he was totally gonna pay for and she hoped he knew it. He wouldn't know when, of course, but that was the fun part. The brunette brushed back strands of hair from her face, just barely reading the book in her hand. What exactly was taking her said assailant so long? It shouldn't be that hard to smuggle drinks into the library. It wasn't like anyone even used this floor that much.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

Will knew he was supposed to bring drinks. But he'd kind of changed his mind about that, and instead had gotten distracted flirting with this girl in the religion section- maybe she was hoping to find some sort of God that would help her win. Didn't matter, he'd been distracted before finally making his way up the steps to the second floor and finding Sorin. "Made it up the steps okay? Ankle not giving you any trouble." Because damn it all if he wasn't the cheeky bastard who owned up to the trouble he caused. What? It had been a smart move on his part. Pushing her into running right where he knew the sidewalk was uneven enough to trip up on and with the dark? Well she hadn't even noticed. Such a shame. Except not really. "I may have forgot the drinks. But I mean, how badly did you really want those cause you totally could've done it yourself if you actually wanted it."

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 366 comments "I had someone carry me up." Like a lot of things, it wasn't that big a deal for Sorin to just push up her cleavage and ask a guy a favor. Some of these boys were only glad for the female participants for that fact alone, so why not play up on it? And did anyone really expect her to climb up those stairs on a sprained ankle? No, thanks. She'd have to start remembering where the walkways dipped or got uneven, lest she end up in this situation again. She wouldn't put it past Will to give the same trick a try more than once.

The looks she shot him was not as scathing as it would have been if it was anyone else. She was thirsty, but not thirsty enough that she'd get it herself. "You had one job, Willie. One." She shook her head, flipping a page in the book as if to put emphasis on her disappointment. Again, no big deal; she'd just as the same guy that brought her up to get her a drink. "So who caught your eye this time?"

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

"A job? When you gonna realize that you can't tell me what to do Rinnie the Pooh?" Will rolled his eyes, practically puking a little in his own mouth at the nickname. But damn if he wasn't a fan of Willie. Seriously, it was a disgusting nickname and she only used it to irritate him. Which was fine with him, the more enemies she made the more his chances of victory would increase. Which was more than alright with him. Will and Sorin had a complex relationship. Friends.....but you know, not truly friends, since William was pretty sure that if she proved herself to be even the slightest bit of a hindrance he would easily leave her behind. And he fully expected her to do the same. Leaning against the shelves her smirked down at Sorin man he loved looking down at people , "Don't know her name. But she had a really great ass." And that's all that truly mattered, right?

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 366 comments Sorin pretended to contemplate his question, brows furrowed and looking up before gasping. "Try when you stop maiming me." To which point, she gracefully lifted her leg to display her currently wrapped ankle with a pout. She'd ignore that Rinnie the Pooh jab for now, but definitely not the fact that he was hovering over her. She was the one looking down on people, and Will was no different — height difference be damned. And their complicated friendship, too, really. At least, it was complicated to everyone else. It was convenience; they'd be...whatever they were ( not a team considering her ankle, but also not outright enemies ) until it stopped being just that.

"It can't have been that great if you didn't get her name," she scoffed, pulling him down to sit next to her. As mentioned before, she was not a fan of being looked down upon. "And probably not greater than mine, if we're really being honest here."

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

"Maim? Don't be so dramatic, it's not attractive," Well that wasn't true, William didn't much care what came out of people's mouths. Fifty percent of the time he wasn't paying attention anyway so why not let them spew whatever it is that they wanted to spew? Of course, he'd been busy looking at one of the books on the shelves, actually slightly interested in it, when Sorin grabbed his arm and pulled down, forcing him to sit rapidly or topple over. Dirty trick. And she thought it was bad that he'd maimed her. Please. He had no doubt she'd try to get him back, which meant he was going to have to watch his back. For....ever. Because she was never going to just let it go.

"Please, you can have great sex and not know the other person's name. She had a great ass. I'm not planning on putting a ring on her hand. Lots of people have great asses here, your's is just subpar compared to some of the butts I've seen." William shrugged then, a slight smile on his lips, "If it makes you feel better though your ass is better than VanKent's."

message 8: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 366 comments
That most definitely didn't make her feel any better. "That doesn't make me feel any better. And here I used think you had a way with words," she sniffed. VanKent being associated or used as a comparison with anything just wasn't going to cut it, really. Much like with everyone else, Sorin didn't much care for him. Like, at all. In any way. Especially not with her ass involved. Unless he was kissing it; which he would be when she became a Guardian and he was left with only the view of her perfect legs from behind. Watching Will stumble was just a small consolation, though. The faintest flicker of a smile was on her face before it was gone. "But if it's great sex, wouldn't you want a repeat? Seems like a waste, in my opinion." She shrugged, not really thinking too much on it.

But now she was actually really thirsty and she knew Will wasn't go get her a drink; he'd made that clear. As much as it pained her, she had no control over him. It was still fun to try. She was sure, though, the trick she used before wasn't going to work on him. It'd be funny, but inefficient and she didn't really want to waste time. "Okay, so for once, could you do me a solid? I need to get over to that bookshelf and hopping around in this skirt is a no-no."

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

A way with words? Please. Everyone knew that he was only charming because of his good looks. Sorin here was obviously just trying to butter him up, use her own charms on him? Surely by now she was well aware that he was resistant and quite immune to her 'charms'. Mostly because they involved showing off how pretty she was and Will was under the firm belief that unless you were willing to follow through with your offers that Sorin was just a tease. "Nah. When you start repeating sex then emotions get involved and that's not fun for anything. I prefer to keep them as one night stands, I can find people less annoying that way." He smirked at her then - implying that she should be careful lest he start to find her annoying? Maybe.

Wait what. "Why do you need to get over to that bookshelf?" Will rose a brow curiously at the girl next to him, part of him also wondering why she would wear a skirt that wasn't the best to move around in while she was crippled. Was this some kind of set up? Oh help me to that bookshelf...and then she'd push him over the rail and he'd fall to the first floor? Certainly seemed like some kind of revenge move, at least the kind that Will would pull.

"Wow, are you trying to say I'm annoying? Tell me how you really feel, Willy Wonka," Sorin scoffed, rolling her eyes. She could admit to being annoying sometimes, when it suited her, but generally? She was a blessing to be around, thanks. Will should be counting his lucky stars he even knew her.

"Because the guy who carried me up here is reading over there and I'm thirsty." She had considered pushing him off the railing, truthfully, but that would a) be too easy and b) be kind of obvious. The two of them had a similar mindset, so she was sure he'd thought of that same thing. But, in addition to that, she might actually kill the poor bastard if he hit a bookshelf the wrong way going down. She wasn't totally up for being marked as a murderer just yet. "Since you forgot to get me my drink, I have to ask him."

Her impractical skirt ( her outfit as a whole really; she was dressed more like she was headed out or something ) was worn more out of habit than anything else. She could have worn sweats, or something of the like, but that would have totally killed her whole outfit and she had not been in the mood to think of something else. She had, after all, seen her punishment for not completing the race and she'd be damned if she wasn't going to have something go her way.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

Will couldn't help but smirk. Both at her little attempt for a nickname and also at her complaining about a drink. "or you could go get a drink yourself, love. After all, you're injured not crippled," As dramatic as she enjoyed being Will wasn't about to let her get away with it. "I think you want me to carry you over there so you can feel me up," Not at all what he thought, but he liked to get under her skin, and implying that she wanted him? Well he knew better than to think it was true, please, as if anything would happen between Sorin and him. He preferred his girls to be a little less work than Sorin was. Challenges were great and all.....until they weren't.

Too much work on getting into someone's pants took all the fun right out of it.

"I mean you made it to the library from your dorm, or did you shake your tits and convince one of your roommates to carry you here too?" Hmmm, perhaps he was being a little too harsh on the teasing, but he was sure that Sorin wouldn't take offense. It's not like she had actual feelings or anything. No, she was like him. Here to win. Nothing else.

Always follow through; that's what Sorin was taught and lived by. If she'd gotten the dude to carry her up and had him be so kind as to say that she could ask him for anything else because she'd made her sprained ankle out to be worse than it was, she was going to follow through with it. It wasn't like she'd forced him to help her, so really it was his own fault for agreeing. But, still, she had to keep with the theme of agonizing pain whenever she moved. At Will's accusation of wanting to feel him up — he was pretty hot and all, but no; maybe if she was drunk or something — her brows rose to her hairline. "If I really wanted to feel you up, I would have done it already." This was coming from the girl who'd once manhandled a guy's junk through his jeans. An impulsive act that she didn't really care about.

"I can walk on flat surfaces," she pointed out, "Just not up stairs and I've been sitting in the same position for forever waiting for you so best not to tempt fate. But if you're really going to be that much of an ass, I'll just do it myself." She shrugged, standing up with a moment's hesitation. It wasn't so bad, but she wasn't putting much weight on her right ankle. "I also said help, not carry. I don't want your hands on my ass."

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

"Or you're waiting because you know if you got handsy I could probably break your fingers," Will grinned at the tiny girl then, because it was oh so true. He'd heard her story of how she felt up some guy's junk once, and damn it all if Will was going to be her next feel up. Nope. She'd have to work for it if she wanted to get all up close and personal with him. "Well that bookshelf over there is luckily on the same floor. Nice flat surface. Maybe, if you crawled over there he'd really take pity on you and you could have him carry you around for the rest of the year?" He was being an ass, he knew it, but he was William. When wasn't he an ass? And even Sorin knew that. "Please, love, we both know my hands on your ass would be the most action you've gotten all week,"

Not true, but he was trying to prove a point. He was the hottest thing here at school, and he'd be damned if she made him think otherwise. His hands on her ass? Damn blessing.

If looks could kill — let's just leave it at that. "Maybe that's my kink; how are you supposed to know," she retorted. The very hostile look had left her face, replaced with an almost coy smile. Yeah, no, not her kink but breaking fingers did sound kinda fun right about now. Crawling was not something she'd ever do again. Because the last she'd done so was when she nine and playing with her brothers before she made them cry. Good times. She hobbled toward the shelf, ignoring Will for the most part. She'd heard plenty of girls talking about him since orientation, but knowing him kind of brought down the appeal. Plus the fact that his hands had been used to shove her onto an uneven patch of the sidewalk made her that much less eager to have them on her again.

"Wowie, really, mister? Your hands could really do that for me? Then what're you waiting for?" That totally didn't sound as bad as it did in her head, even with the slight hitch in octave. Reaching out to lean against the bookshelf, she peered into the aisle. Shit, no mediocre white boy. She moved onto the next and he wasn't there either. Great. She'd really have to go get this drink herself.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

William rose to his feet shortly after Sorin started to hobble around, and carefully walked after her, watching as she checked each aisle to no avail. "Looks like your ass wasn't good enough to make him stick around. What a shame." He smirked that arrogant smile of his, the one that said 'ha i was right and you were wrong and you suck'. Because what was Will if not the childish type to reveled in being able to prove he was right about all things in the world. But seriously what more was to be expected after that whole stunt she pulled- 'wowie mister?' like Will was some kind of pedo driving a van luring children inside and she was all innocence. Please. He wasn't going to even entertain her little act of trying to be innocent.

"Maybe if you get on your knees and beg I'll carry you down the steps?" He couldn't help the slight chuckle that was leaving his lips, all amusement at her little predicament. Who would have thought this much fun would come from a little shove?

"No need to creep after me," Sorin stated, jaw clenched. So it was just a slight setback. It might have been the miscalculation of being around Will. Maybe Mediocre White Boy saw him and got scared off or something. Another thing to blame on Will. She wanted to deck him right in his face, but not yet. She could think of something much better later on.

"I think not." Like hell was she going to get on her knees. Nope, she would suffer the stairs first. It was looking like it would come to that, anyways. Lips pursed, she glared over at the offending bit of architecture. Yep, she'd rather go down those than on her knees.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay

Will laughed at her stubborn nature, now that was downright adorable. That was almost charming, almost enough to make him want to stay and maybe freely offer to help her down those stairs. Almost. But not quite, instead he waltzed over to the tiny girl, rubbing the top of her head and creating quite the frizzy mess out of her fair hair with a cheeky grin. "Good luck then, Rinnie," And with that he was easily bounding down the steps, looking back up at her and winking as though to say 'see how easy it could be?' before laughing to himself, shoulders shaking slightly as he left the library off to cause a little more chaos around Ainsley.

It would have made her very happy to push him down the stairs. Very, very happy. But alas, with her hobbling and his long legs, she wasn't able to catch up to him. Instead, she gave him the finger as he went, trying to fix the mess he'd made of her hair. Once she'd done all she basically could, she headed down the stairs. She was totally gonna get this kid back. God, it would be so good.
