The Gauntlet is the race. Once every three years, men from all walks of Estalia are able to compete in a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you win, you join the Guardians, the elite force of the land. If you lose... well, there's a good chance you either died in the race, or you're going to wish you had.

That is where Ainsley Academy comes in -- the most respected and well known training center for those who are planning to compete in the Gauntlet. There is almost no chance of winning if you do not come to the Academy to train, and you can try a different one, but those who come to Ainsley have the highest chance of being chosen in the Gauntlet.

Ainsley Academy's goal is to prepare you for the physical, mental, and emotional trials of the race; but by no means are they responsible for your wellbeing.
