Graceling, Soulless, and GWTDT are all some of my favorites. It is not YA but I loved The Help The Help by Kathryn Stockett . I think the Dairy Queen series has a great feminist message for young girls Dairy Queen (Dairy Queen, #1) by Catherine Gilbert Murdock as well as the SIsterhood series The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Sisterhood, #1) by Ann Brashares and of course Jacky was the first femanist Bloody Jack Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer !

Ashley Marie THE HELP. Yes!!! Same for me Heidi, Dragon Tattoo definitely isn't YA either but I couldn't not include it. I still need to read Jacky!
