The World Reborn discussion

Here is an early version of the world map that I've been working on. It's small and a bit scrunched together (there is more land between some of the places) but I've been practicing on the different methods to draw mountains, trees etc.

What do you guys think?

Did you try to draw it in landscape mode? If you need the land to be more extended, that can be a solution ?

Looking very good and I second Haïfa's suggestion about the landscape mode.

Good thinking guys! I will mess around with it and see what comes up =) I also need to finish the one for Noctum to show you!

But yeah you should give it a try! :) It's funny because the maps from Malice and Valour (The Faithful and The Fallen) were so tiny, I couldn't see much even when squinting hard!! And today, after I suggested the landscape, I opened Ruin (book 3) and Tada!! Landscape mode map ! XD I was so happy because the rendering was amazing ;)

Good idea =) So I'm assuming you'd just turn the book sideways to see the whole thing? I will get to work on that =)

Here's an update for the demo "horizontal" that i've been doing. I think it looks so much better digital than on paper. THank goodness for my art tablet xD

yeah slowly but surely! im having to learn how to draw and use Photoshop at the same time to do this haha. xD

You forgot the little dot on your map that is the notorious Jamestown ;)! They have a horribly violent pub there where some dude called Samir is the barman! :P

The map is looking good. When edited through your sexy app it will look amazing mate

I can't show jamestown, otherwise I'd spoil it and everyone would come because of how amazing it is. Within weeks it would be overrun and too crowded. Samir wouldn't have enough room at the bar and it would just be a big mess xD

Is there any way to write some of the names a bit bigger ? I'm afraid that on kindle and other ebook devices, they may be too small to decipher. But other than that, the map looks great!

Thank you Hai! It took a long while but I think it ended up alright!

I will definitely look into making them bigger and visible when in the print and ebook versions. I think that will be the next biggest challenge =)

I just can't wait for the opening scene in the Oppresser's Lie in Jamestown @ Samir's bar. That is what I am buying the book for!! Especially that part when Haïfoun, the barmaid with attitude attacks someone with her Essence and boom, Vall is on the scene.

It is no coincidence that Helforn sounds like Haïfoun. You heard it here first. SPOILER!!
