I haven't read this yet, but I saw a trailer and its looks AMAZING!

Ariel | 3 comments I actually just finished this novel. After watching the trailer, I have a feeling they'll change a lot of things because the book wasn't as "mysterious" and "drama-filled" as the trailer made it seem. At least not enough for them to make a series out of it

Alice_ (alice_x) I thought the book was quite boring so I hope they add more drama to it.

Tallulah Johnston (tallulah98) | 14 comments I honestly loved the book, it was sad but I really enjoyed it. The trailer however looks really dark and dramatic which I don't remember the book being like so I will be rereading the novel soon.

M.B. (emmbee89) | 6 comments After watching the trailer, I feel like I'll want to watch the show. The book is about a guy spending a night wandering around town listening to a bunch of tapes from a girl who committed suicide, but the show makes it sound like it's dramatic and mysterious, so I'm curious!

Kelsi martin | 6 comments I've read the book and it was wonderful I really hope the show does it justice.

Based on everything you guys are saying I'm almost wondering if I should bother reading the book at all. Usually if I read the book then I will be disappointing in the movie/show, but this might be a time where I can skip the book and get a good experience all the same.... hmmmmmm

Zoe Artemis Spencer Reid (autumn_tide) The book is not good in my opinion. But I love the TV series version, it still somewhat not logic, but the execution is really good and the show is so sad.

Didnt watch the show.

Natalie | 2 comments I definitely love the book, the tv series not so much. I feel like it was cool how they showed in the book the snowball effect of how small things can make an impact in someone’s life. I feel like in the show they just wanted to make everything for the drama, and instead of people learning from it, it opened up another discussion that wasn’t the message of the book. My opinion! Hehe. And season 2, I won’t watch.

Anna Lewis | 11 comments I love the book so much better than the tv show. The tv show just over hyped it. Also, it started loosing the real reason why the show started because it was about Hannah. Season 3 basically made it look like Hannah wasn't even there.

Lissa I am so impressed that most of y'all didn't/don't care for the film adaptation- that's exactly what it is, a filmmaker's view of "a script". I think I too, will always side with the story as an original, in whatever form the author presented it. Our imaginations have less room with the visual, whereas the written world is unique to the reader!! Thank y'all for your p.o.v and opinions
