Atmospheric Disturbances discussion

When I first started reading the book I wondered if there was some science fiction or magical realism happening. Or was it a psychological problem.

By the end, I felt pretty sure the protagonist was suffering from delusions. But is it not supposed to be that definite?

I read another book where it was the opposite...from reviews/comments I got the idea the book was supposed to be open-minded in terms of religions vs. psychology, but I thought was definitely going the religion/supernatural route.
