Recently read "Death of an Empire–the rise and murderous fall of Salem, America's richest city." Very informative and enlightening. As a student of the early colonial period and a anything about Salem, MA I found this book extremely enjoyable. Would recommend it to everyone!!!
One of my favorite non-fiction books is The Fourth Part of the World: An Astonishing Epic of Global Discovery, Imperial Ambition, and the Birth of Americaby Toby Lester. I'm currently reading We Are the Revolutionists: German-Speaking Immigrants and American Abolitionists after 1848by Mischa Honeck . Highly recommend both.
