25% (view spoiler)[ So far its good. I liked Amy and Carla's friendship and the mention my favorite books. Mark and Carla's relationship is progressing. I am wondering what was the dreams for and Thor in her dreams. (hide spoiler)]

50% (view spoiler)[ I never thought Mark would do that to Carla. That was unexpected. I liked him initially but, now I have second thought. As soon as mythical part starts, I am interested in the book. Of all Norse Gods in book, I liked Hella. I'm eager to see what is going to happen next. (hide spoiler)]

25% (view spoiler)[ I'm not really into this book. The most positive part of it is the friendship between Carla and Amy, but apart from that it's nothing enjoyable. Carla and Mark's relationship happened way too fast (even Carla admitted that she doesn't know him that well) and I don't get Matthew. I will continue reading it, hoping for some more elaboration on Carla's dreams about Thor, because those were quite interesting. (hide spoiler)]

She is not ready to accept her situation from the very beginning and that shows her weak. I am afraid I am not going to like her much. Mark is becoming more and more evil. Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[ It is good so far. I am enjoying Amy and Carla's friendship. Also, I like the progression of Mark and Carla's relationship. Why is Thor in her dreams? (hide spoiler)]

Just saw your thoughts, Yesha. I think you and I had stopped at the same parts. I thought Carla was okay of a character. What did you think of her? Also, will you be reading the rest of the series? I do not know how this is going to fit into 20 books, but it does sound interesting. Hopefully, it gets better as the series continues.

Yes, I guess so.
I don't know. Carla was too slow and even after so many years of training she was glued to her point "I didn't want this I want normal life". That was annoying. I understand her feelings but If she just moved with what's happening, got trained, handled situation and her powers, then I think I would have liked her. About series I think its too long. May be I will read it for those mythical parts and to know what happens next.

I agree with you. I will continue the series for those parts as well.

Im about 100 pages in and its not what i expected so far... Hopefully it'll pick up ??

I'm now 200 pages in after being in a reading slump and maybe this has something to do with it but i am super confused ??? I just dont understand the plot of this book ?
