I have been married 33 years to my husband, John. I first met him when I was only 13. We have 2 adult sons (28 and 26) that are both married to wonderful women. No grandchildren yet. We have a one year old, Havanese dog, Ollie.

8. What actress/actor should play you a film in your life story?

9. Will you tell us a funny or favorite story about yourself?
Hmmm. We have a summer cottage on the shores of Lake Huron in Port Austin, Michigan (located at the tip of the thumb of the mitten state). I used to take our boys up there for the week and my husband would drive up on the weekend.
I was up at the cottage (1993) and took the boys to the grocery store in the small town of Port Austin. I allowed them to each choose a toy from the toy section of the grocery store. My youngest son, Jake, 3 years old at the time, chose toy handcuffs, and my son, Ryan, chose a toy car.
We got back into the car with our groceries and headed home. I soon made a sudden stop, because there was a baby boy, standing barefoot in only a diaper, in the middle of the road. Of course I pulled over, got out of the car and picked up the baby. I looked around, and there was no one there - no cars, no people, no houses. We were on a two lane, state highway that was pretty desolate.
This incident happened before the days of having personal cell phones. So, I put the baby in the back seat, next to my son, Jake, who was sitting in his car seat. I drove to the police station. Remember that Port Austin is a small town, and the police station was closed. Next, I drove to the Fire Station, and again, the building was closed.
I thought, "what am I going to do with this baby?" I decided to go back to the area where I found him. Then I looked at what streets were close to the area. I started driving up and down nearby streets that had homes. I noticed that the baby started making excitable noises in front of one of the homes. I left the kids in the car as I walked up to the home.
A rather disheveled looking woman came to the door. I asked her if she was missing a baby. What a question. She said he was just here and must have ran after his brother who had apparently ridden his bike to the grocery store. She followed me out to my car.
I opened the door to the back seat, where I had placed the baby next to Jake. When the door opened, Jake lifted his arms in the air and squealed, revealing his hand-cuffed hands that certainly did not look like a toy. With a look of shock, that woman grabbed her baby and ran into her house, not even uttering a word of thanks.
10. What are your hobbies?
Obviously reading, hold teaching therapy groups for new therapists, exploring farmer's markets and art fairs, rock painting, occasional knitting, walking, circuit training/weight training, and golf.
11. Where is your favorite place to read?
Sitting on the deck overlooking Lake Huron or next to a fire.
12. What is your favorite sport to watch or play?
College football to watch and golf to play
13. What was your favorite subject in school?
Psychology, sociology and geology
14. How are you creative?
I am very creative and come from a family with many artists.
15. What is your favorite sandwich?
I am gluten free due to a wheat allergy - so I almost never have a sandwich. The closest I can get is an open face tuna melt on gluten free, flat bread.
16. What do you think is your very best feature or characteristic?
I asked my husband how to answer this question. He said my best physical feature is my smile. He said my best character trait is my understanding nature and balance. He said he never met anyone more balanced. I guess I like his answers.
17. If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
I am throwing a surprise party very soon. I came back to edit this comment because the person I am surprising is on Goodreads and I am not sure if they can see this answer. I will come back later this month to update this & tell you about the party.
18. If you could paint a picture of anything, what would you paint?
I do paint pictures and they tend to be more abstract.
19. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
I would like to meet Brené Brown and Elkhart Tolle (both living), I would also love to meet some of my ancestors.
20. What’s your favorite comfort food?
Popcorn or ice cream
BONUS Tell us three things about yourself not covered in these questions.
I am an intense researcher, when I get curious about something.
I love to share with others and get great joy in sharing.
I care very deeply about people.
Paige ...
I am just shaking my head at that anecdote! Have to say I was almost expecting that your son would have handcuffed the baby to himself!
