Huckabizzle Mcfondle | 22 comments The first book was 483 pages and the second book was 587 pages, so I estimate that the third book will be approximately 690 something pages. So by the time I initially made this calculation last month, he was about 2/3s finished. Assuming that he began writing as soon as the second book was published, January 2016, then he has about four months left, so August. And just to be arbitrarily specific, I will say the 15th.

Scott | 19 comments While August may be right, I think that they started writing before book 2 was published. Remember, if they started the day they finished writing book 2, there, might be a gap between then and when book 2 was published.

Dodger | 37 comments Book 1 and 2 was originally 1 whole book, Kel stated in a reply to a comment from a fan on his website. Kel broke the original into 2 parts to make it more accessible and less daunting to prospective readers. Would love it if book 3 came out tomorrow but I'm happy to wait as long as it takes Kel to finish it. Just hope it doesn't get into GRRM or Rothfuss time scale.

Caleb | 4 comments I think it will be 2018. He's trying to keep the elements of the story that we like while moving it in a new direction/towards conclusion. He's also not working on it full time. It'll take a while.

I hope it's 2018, who knows maybe this group and the discussions are impacting the story. Either way, I hope he has a printed copy I can put on my bookshelf hard cover would be great! This story is on my TOP shelf and a favorite for a long time. Looking forward to giving copies away and watching Kel Kade create more stories.
As for book 3 ... let's all relax and hope it's at least 900 pages LOL

Jeff Brabant | 10 comments Interesting thoughts. In hindsight I'm just trying to have someone give me some hope for a release in the next few months. Seeing 2018 isn't good, while I'll take it of course, I don't want to wait that long! :) I want to remind you that Kel did originally give a December release, so that is why I am hoping for a midsummer release. The next thing I'll want is a mini series...anyone know Ron Howard or Peter Jackson?

Slick | 28 comments This series is great :) I was so relieved when i found out it's more than a trilogy haha

@Jeff since he was aiming for December it can't be too far off, id say it will be out within the next few months.. at a guess it could be 3-6 months. Depending on what else he's currently up to :)

Yes!! Maybe we've got more stories coming after book 3!
I would love to read more about Reskin as a child or "Small man"
He could go all "Orson Scott Card" on this world ...LOL
I'm reading book 4 again next to geek out with my buddy..

Hello Everyone,

I appreciate the encouragement and support I’ve received from so many of you. I haven’t been able to respond to everyone because I’ve been busy writing.

I’ll be finishing the draft of Book 3 in the next few weeks, and then it will be on to review and editing.

I’ll let you know when I have a better idea of the release dates.

Good reading!

Kel

Jeff Brabant | 10 comments I saw this April....great news. I assume it is still a month out or so. How do you guys read this series? I can't find it anywhere? Obviously, I listen to it, but I'm assuming the audible version will be a while after the release...not sure I can wait that long.

I'm not sure it'll be as little time as a month... it can take a while to get a book edited and updated and then proofed... BUT at least we know there is a book written! It should be out this year, at least. And maybe in a month or so, but I'm not going to hold my breath!

I have a Kindle Paperwhite, so I read my books on that, buying on Amazon. There's free Kindle aps so you can read on a cell phone, but I prefer having a dedicated device, with bigger screen and to save on my phone's charge.

I don't think there are hard copies of this series. I'm also not sure if there are formats available to read on a laptop/computer...

I read books on my laptop when I am not listening to audiobook, I use Amazon also, and it is formatted for laptop/computers.

Oh, that's good that you can get formats from Amazon that work on laptops.
