What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I forget the name of the book but it's about the school life of a boy who loves school very much. He is called Zero, unsure if that's his actual name, he once puked in his teachers chalkboard wiping buckets, so she bought him a bucket to puke in but he never got sick again.

He used to be friends with a classmate named Billy until he started getting held back repeatedly for years until he forcefully graduated? The book ends with a blizzard where he gets lost looking for a missing girl, the girl was found a long time ago and the community was looking for him instead.
