Just finished Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? by Jeannette Winterson, a memoir by a woman who was adopted into a dysfunctional family and the results on her life. Also wading through Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, a novel about an unusual family full of mysteries.

Started Convergence by CJ Cherryh book 18 in the Foreigner series.

I'm currently giving Grundish and Askew a chance. (I wasn't a big fan of Smashed, Squashed, Splattered, Chewed, Chunked and Spewed but I believe in second chances. So far it's not boding well. I'm also reading Roller Disco Saturday Night which is much better but not my normal kind of reading. We'll see how it goes.

I finish Convergence book 18 in the extraordinary Foreigner series.

I started Getting Off Clean last night.

I'm reading The Whistler which so far is a good read typical of John Grisham if you like that sort of thing.

Took a long weekend over Easter, and read The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. Enjoyed the mix of historical narrative and social commentary with a bit of magic realism/metaphor mixed in. I enjoyed the premise that there was a literal underground railroad ferrying escaped slaves north. The first time I encountered the words "underground railroad" that's exactly what I pictured!

Have you seen the movie "Never let me go"? I liked it a lot and it had good reviews. Never read the book, but I suspect that the film is not as strong as the written word. May be a good film nonetheless? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the matter if you´ve seen it

I have the movie, but have not watched it yet. I wanted to wait till I'd read the book. I don't like to see a movie first. The actors and such force my mind too much, not allowing me to visual characters etc. on my own.

Currently reading How the García Girls Lost Their Accents for my women's Literature class and Wide Sargasso Sea because my teacher suggested it. Also reading this for my writing course A Rhetoric for Writing Teachers.

Hello, It's been awhile since I have posted in here. I am currently reading Drag Queen (Robert Rodi Essentials by Robert Rodi. It's a pretty fast read and very entertaining.

Last nite I started A Memory of Light book 14 and the last book in the Wheel of Time series.

I'm reading Sex with Shakespeare: Here's Much to Do with Pain, but More with Love by Jillian Keenan. Keenan is a spanking fetishist. This memoir shows how she looked to Shakespeare to better understand her desires and herself. Written with great humor so far.
