It was January 2021, and Rick Deckard had a license to kill. Somewhere among the hordes of humans out there, lurked several rogue androids. Deckard's assignment--find them and then..."retire" them. Trouble was, the androids all looked exactly like humans, and they didn't want to be found!



Sasha | 104 comments I found the setting of this world more interesting than this particular story. Even though it says that they don't remember how WWT started or what the cause was, that's what I want to learn about! This human induced mass-extinction on a wide scale is something I'd much rather learn about than Rick's life.

I'm not too familiar with noir films or stories, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that it reminds me of Hemingway in that self-contained man that falls in love in 5 seconds and is misogynistic.

I definitely agree! I wanted to know more about the world they were living in; the world building was severely lacking, in my opinion.
