Charlotte strode down the shore. She was planning on going to the actual beach, but seeing as there were so many people, decided against it. So she made her way to the cove, where the only people she saw were surfers already on the waves. She sat down in the bare sand, taking her book and sunglasses out of her bag. Using her bag as a headrest, she leaned back, placing the sunglasses on her face. She cracked open her book, flipping to the correct page. She started to read.
Akaycia had made it to the cove by this point, having noticed the way Colton had been looking at the blonde girl. She didn’t want to interrupt anything they’d be doing, or ruin his chances with the girl he obviously liked. She didn’t think of Colton that way anyways, he was more like a friendly brother to her already. Upon arriving at the cove, she noticed Charlotte sitting and reading a book. Smiling, she strode over to her and sat down next to her. “Whatcha’ reading?” She asked with a playful glint in her eyes.

Charlotte ignored her for a moment, finishing the end of the chapter she was on. "The one from earlier. You know, The Secret Garden? This is probably the hundredth time I've read it, over the course of twelve years. Most of the readings were in fifth grade. But enough about that- what do you like to read, Akaycia?" Charlie closed her book, noting the page number she was on before setting it on the sand next to her.
Akaycia wasn’t so shy at this point, considering she was running on caffeine. So she was a little... Hyper. “Oh, that’s a really good book. I love to read mysteries, dystopian, romance, all that jazz.” She said, bouncing slightly as she sat in the sand, running her fingers through the coolness of it. The sun was beaming down on them, but Akaycia wouldn’t get burnt since she was so tanned. It only came naturally in the family.
Charlotte pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head, raising an eyebrow at the petite girl. "Did you drink a gallon of coffee this morning? But yeah, it's a good book. My favorite genres are fantasy, historical and scientific fiction, and dystopian. But I'll read anything. Do you write?"Charlie, of course, adored writing. However, no one ever really asked her about that, so no one ever really knew.
Akaycia giggled a little, still bouncing uncontrollably, “I had some coffee, but not a gallon. Plus, I had a popsicle earlier! I really love writing too!” She said excitedly, her brown eyes practically sparkling with all the energy she had. The girl could go a little... Crazy, when she had too much caffeine or sugar. It was a little problem she had.
"Yeah, well, I can't take you seriously right now. I love writing too. That's what I want to do someday. Of course, they don't get paid a lot, so I also want to be an ethologist...ugh, look, never mind. My life story doesn't matter right now," Charlotte sighed, putting her sunglasses back on her face and leaning back in the sand."What about you? What do you want to do?" She asked, trying to switch the attention from her to Akaycia.
Akaycia tried to force herself to stop bouncing, actually getting a headache from it. “That’s cool too, you know... Animal Behaviour. Me? I guess I want to be a veterinarian. I love animals, back home I have three dogs.” She admitted, forcing herself to think before she spoke. But all of a sudden she felt another wave of energy wash over her, almost like the ones crashing down on the beach. With a playful smirk, she leaned over to kiss Charlotte’s cheek before getting up and running down to the water giggling.
You could say Akaycia acted sort’ve like a drunk 4 year old when she had caffeine.
You could say Akaycia acted sort’ve like a drunk 4 year old when she had caffeine.
"Guess we both like animals then," replied Charlie, looking out across the water. It looked nice. And with the sun this hot, it was probably be warm. Maybe she'd just...Her thoughts were interrupted when Akaycia came closer and pecked Charlie's cheek, before running down to the water.
Smirking, Charlie stood, running after her. Who cares if they were acting like eight year olds? There was no one around, and besides, this was the last summer before adulthood.
Akaycia ran into the water until she’d gotten waist deep in the warm ocean, her denim shorts soaked by now. She was laughing uncontrollably, glancing back to see that Charlie was chasing her. These kind of things didn’t happen often for her, since her family didn’t let her have caffeine very often at all. Now she understood exactly why. Not that she dwelled on the subject though, falling back into the water and letting it pull her along as she tried not to get it in her mouth.

Akaycia looked up when she finally felt her back to the shore, the sun shining down on her tanned skin and brown soaked hair. Sighing contentedly, she got up and grinned when she noticed the guy standing nearby watching her. Honestly, being as loaded with caffeine as she was, she wasn’t even thinking straight. “Hi!!” She said, jumping up and down and waving at him excitedly before she sat back down in the shallow waves. The fact she’d kissed Charlie’s cheek earlier didn’t even bother her. She was bisexual, meaning she was attracted to both genders. Though it wasn’t something she told most people.
Akaycia giggled when he spoke, finding the deep and huskiness to his voice amusing. Okay, from here on out she would never drink caffeine again. It was actually starting to scare her. “I’m Akaycia, who are you?” She asked, getting up and moving her hair out of her face. The boy was pretty attractive, she’d give him that. Though he seemed like the kind of person that was a jerk. So she decided to just stay away. Before she knew it, her thoughts were interrupted by another surge of energy. “The water feels nice.” She smirked and laid down with her lower half on the shore and her back on the wet sand.
Akaycia had no idea that the boy was debating on if she was taking drugs or was intoxicated, finding nothing wrong with her completely silly and childish behaviour. The girl normally would sit off alone and swim, but the caffeine was kind’ve taking over. “Oh yeah... Hey, you’re the guy that got into a fight with Colton. You okay?” She asked, sitting up slightly so that she was propped up by her arms, her stomach gleaming with water and the sun reflecting off of it slightly, making her skin glitter a bit. Tilting her head back, she looked for her friend, Charlie. “Charlie!” She called out, wondering where she’d gone.

Rowen walked around Maui Cove he was dressed in bored shorts and had sunglasses on his face. Rowen saw a girl and who was yelling for a boy named "Charlie" he wondered why she was calling to a boy. " Who are you calling out for," Rowen saws with a heavy Russian accent as he walked up to the girl.
Akaycia gave a huge smile to the boy, finding his accent rather funny. “I’m calling out to my friend, Charlotte. She’s somewhere around here...” She sighed and got up, trying to shake the jittery feeling of caffeine out of her system. Though she ended up just bouncing in place, the sun shining down on her and warming her skin. “I’m Akaycia.” She greeted him, still grinning happily.

He nodded this girl had to much energy. " Nice to meet you 'Kay' my name is Rowen," He shorted her name right away. Rowen looked at the girl she was visible bouncing. 'She is very pretty' Rowen thought. He smiled handsomely , he crossed his arms which drew looks from girls around him " So what is fun to do around her?" he asks her.
Akaycia suddenly felt really lightheaded, coming back to her senses a bit, “J-Just give me a second.” She said, swaying slightly as the ground started spinning. She fell to her knees, bracing herself on the sand. “I had a lot of coffee earlier... I’m not normally like this...” She admitted, taking deep breaths. Once she’d finally regained focus, she blushed and got up. “Um... Sorry about that... The main attraction around here is surfing and swimming.” She said, gesturing shyly out to the water. Everything that had happened in the last half hour was all a blur, as if she actually had been drunk.

Rowen started to worry but went with it anyway "I can't surf," He says sadly growing up in Russia that was impossible. Rowen looked at the strange girl "дорогой are you okay?" (дорогой means dear and sorry for the short responses)
((It’s totally fine :))
Akaycia looked up at him and smiled softly, “You’re Russian? That’s amazing... I’ve never met someone from Russia before. How about this, I’ll teach you how to surf if you teach me to speak Russian. I’m from California, so it’ll be easy.” She smiled softly, going back to being her normal self now.

Rowen laughs " Alright sounds like a deal," He smiled at her. She kind of reminded him of his twin sister. "If you don't mind me saying you remind me of my twin sister, she is still in Russia though I miss her a lot," Rowen says as he looks at Akaycia.
Akaycia smiled and looked up at him, being a lot shorter than the Russian boy. She was only 5 feet tall, but she was used to being shorter than everyone. “That’s sweet. I wish I could say you remind me of someone, but sadly, I’ve need known anyone with an actual accent...” She blushed, looking down as her slowly drying hair fell into her face.
Charlotte yawned, sitting up in the sand. She'd finished the book- again. Unfortunately, she had not heard Akaycia calling her name as she was so immersed in the book. She stood up, looking out across the water for Akaycia. She was out there alright, with yet another guy. This could end badly, or it could end well, but Charlie wasn't taking chances."Hey! Who's that?" she called in her nicest voice possible.
Akaycia turned to face her friend with a sweet smile, “His name is Rowen, he’s really nice. The boy over there is Cole.” She said, gesturing to the boy in the water. “You should come meet him, he’s Russian!” She smiled playfully and gestured for her to come over. A bit of a shudder ran through her since she was a little chilled from her lack of clothing. She still wore her soaked denim shorts with her bikini top, but the sun slowly started to warm her back up.

Rowen whispered in her ear "Glad to be your first." He smiles wickedly at her. He saw her sudden "Are you cold дорогой?" He asks. He looked over at the girl he assumed was Charlie "привет!" He says as he smiles.(Said Hello)
Charlotte gave them both a look as she approached. "Yeah, I don't know what you said, but hello. What are you two doing over here?" She crossed her arms, eyeing the two of them. Her glasses sat atop her head, pushing her honey blonde hair back.

Akaycia looked back up at him and shrugged, “Only a little. Hey, what does дорогой mean anyways?” She asked, folding her arms underneath her chest. She was curious, since he kept calling her that. Looking over at Charlie, she waited for her to come over. She herself had never really read a book more than twice.
(Her name in Russian is акация by the way :P)

"I will never give that one up акация," He sticks his tongue out at her. Rowen had never meet a girl this cool besides his twin sister. Rowen looked at the girl " It means hello," he informs her and smiles. He had never smiled this much in Russia.
"So you're legitimately Russian? Interesting. Why'd you come to America?" Charlie asked, sitting down in the shallow water, feeling the coolness wash over her. Hawaii really was a beautiful place...what luck she had to be able to come there for free. As the sun was shining directly their way, Charlotte placed her sunglasses over her eyes and looked up and Rowen and Akaycia.
Akaycia rolled her eyes at him and playfully poked him in the belly. Though she was surprised to feel just how muscular he was. Blushing, she looked over at the water that lapped at the shore. “You should come swimming with me. Charlie should come too.” She said, turning to look at her friend over her shoulder.

Rowen stopped smiling "I..I did not like it there my father was very hard on me pushing me to go to college I did not want to go so I left," He say he looks down at the sand." I do miss it though if you were wondering." He smiled as soon as she poked him "Ouch you hurt me," he grabs his belly where she poked him " I would like that very much дорогой."
Akaycia blushed at him using that name for her again, “You know, you’ll have to tell me what it means eventually.” She said, smirking at him before she calmly walked into the water. This time she went up to where it was just underneath her chest, the waves almost knocking her over as she laughed.

"I don't have to tell you anything," He say as he walks into the water, He jumped he didn't like water very much it reminded of cold snowy rainy Russia.
Akaycia turned to see him not liking the water too much, a grin passing over her lips briefly. “Come on, its not that bad. If you go deeper, it gets warmer.” She said, reaching out her hand to lead him deeper into the warm water. “It’s not cold, I swear.”

Akaycia smiled and looked back over at Charlie before looking back at him, “Me too.” She said softly, letting go of his hand once they got to the waist-deep water. Sh could feel the seashells under her feet that were buried in the sand, smoothed down by the currents of the ocean.

Akaycia smiled at him, laughing as he got hit by wave after wave. “Salt water isn’t good to swallow, be careful.” She warned, but a huge wave came and knocked her into the water with a sputtering laugh. Resurfacing, she was soaked and grinning.

Charlotte looked up at him, shrugging. "Yeah, actually, that'd be nice. These two looked like they really hit it off," she smirked, "so I have a feeling I won't want to be here much longer."She stood up from her place in the sand, grabbing her bag and slinging it over her shoulder. She slipped on the sandals she'd brought with her, because hell, she didn't want to walk on the grass and asphalt barefoot.
"Mind telling me where, though? So I can know if I should go get dressed."
