As always, entertaining with great plotting and interesting characters. This is one of my favorite ongoing series and the author has kept up the high standards with each book. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Richard Ferrone who did his usual excellent job.
Good Reads
Adrian McKinty
A good suspense yarn but not nearly as well written as other books by the author. I did enjoy the parts set in Cuba but found the main plot line a bit too unbelievable. Listened to the audio which was read by Paula Christensen who was OK but certainly did not elevate the material.
Bill James
Harpur and Iles are great characters and their counterparts on the criminal side are just as interesting which is why I always enjoy the books in this series even though nothing much ever happens plot wise.
Peter Swanson
A good tale of suspense but not quite up to the standards of the author's previous book. The beginning of the book started out well but I had some problems with various plot turns and found the ending a bit flat. Listened to the audio version which was very well narrated by Eva Kaminsky.
Max Allan Collins
Though perhaps not one of the better entries in this series, this was enjoyable enough. Agatha Christie is the lead in this book and the author used the real life Blackout Ripper's story for the plot. Listened to the audio version which was read by Anne Flosnik who did not really do much for me.
