What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I am trying to find a vampire paranormal series. It starts out I think with a vampire that is looking for someone to keep his house clean. He tries to avoid her at first and he is rude in the beginning. Then of course they start to fall in love after he scares her to death by being so rude/mean. Sorry that is all I can remember.

Kris I read the book but it is not the one I was looking for I thought it was but unfortunately it's isn't. I read this book about 6-8 years ago.

This is definitely Contemporary, right? There's no way you're confusing it with a Historical Romance?

I am not sure. All I rememeber is that at the beginning she gets out of the car. Go through a gate and the butler lets her in. She is standing at the bott M of the stairs and the vampire comes out and meets her and acts like he doesn't really want her there. But what it actually is is that she is his mate and he is trying to stay away from her. She is approximately in her 20-30's. It's not a teen book and it does have steamy Scenes in it. But nothing over the top I don't think. I don't remember the author. It was in mass market book when I first read it.
