Hi everyone! Just checking in quickly before I head off to bed.I'm Philippa, (or Pips for short), I'm in the UK and super excited that Tower Teams is back around and that it's Star Wars themed this time!
Hi Team! Just checking in real quick. I think the Star Wars theme is awesome! Can't wait to see what's in store for us :)
And you have already started, I haven't watched any of these movies, but the first and that was in the movie theater when it came out, and a long, long, long, long, time ago😉
Berit, Berit, Berit.... I also heard that you haven't read the Harry Potter books... What are we to do with you?
All vicious rumors, with quite a bit of truth behind them😉 I actually did watch a HP movie, but I had no idea what was going on, I think it was like the fifth one? Maybe?
Yup Berit, all eyes on you missy ;)Hi Team, please note I was only judging Berit, not the rest of you :)
I'm so excited to start this!!!
Accepting donations for a set of Harry Potter Books and Star Wars movies for Berit...
May have had too much sugar today based on the amount of gifs I've already posted :D
I actually have both in my house, or I did at some point, my kids read all the books and watch all the movies, so I have been in and out of the room while both Star Wars and Harry Potter movies were on, I just didn't sit down and watch them🙃
Ok, change in plans, now accepting donations for a road trip to Berit's house so that we can ensure she sits down for the movies :D
Besides being Princess Leia, I live in the US, I love outdoors (especially bicycling, which I haven't done much of in the last few months) and my most recent favorite book was
...and I enjoy walks on the beach...
How about everyone else?
Same for me, except I haven't gotten to Morning Star yet. Oh, and I'd rather run than cycle, but both are good.Let's see...most recent favorite reads:
I will read any genre. My favorites are mysteries and historicals. My least fav is contemporary romance but I will read that as well.
I'm about to delve into Agatha Christie
...I've only read one other of hers, this audio sounds like it might be good!Fantasy and SciFi are my go to's...but I also love romance...so I'll take those for you Michelle!
I can't get the quiz to work for me :( That's just wrong!Anywho, I live in Oklahoma. I've been married for 16 years and have just the one child (my husband). I'm a huge homebody as my pasty skin can verify :) In my free time I like to read, duh, and spend countless hours on GR, lol. Sad but mostly true! Oh, I'm also a Pinterestaholic! My husband and I have vowed to get out of the house more and we have been walking every night for the last couple of weeks. And we're going on a fishing trip next weekend :)
I really liked that series, ST! I'm making my husband read it soon!
My most recent favorite read was...
. Oh! And
I'm really looking forward to reading some of those larger books that I've been putting off! Especially excited for
!
Favorite book that I recently read, I'll need to think about that....I live in California and I have three kids, but only one is still at home the others are off at college, I love reading, I love my friends, I love to work out and I prefer cycling to running, although I like my cycling to be stationary, LOL
Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors ever.Nichole, I need to continue on with Cut and Run. Really enjoyed the first book but just haven't gotten around to the second one yet.
Words of Radiance was great, but definitely an investment!
Oh, and for those of you who don't know my whole life--I live in Las Vegas and I have two kids almost out of high school. And one husband who is pretty awesome. And since I work on the Las Vegas Strip, I work crazy hours and might be on at totally random times.
Ty and Zane are awesome!! You have wonderful taste Nichole :DI still need to read Words of Radiance, the first book was such a good read...I'll get to it...someday...
K-Terror picked Wait for It for me to read this month, it just hasn't fit into any challenges yet...I'm hoping to read it this weekend.
Need to start that series, I have the first book I just have not read it yet, I realize my flaws are getting bigger and bigger😉🙃
Checking-in!I live just across town from Berit with quite the menagerie. 1 husband; 6 daughters; 6 cats; about 15 chickens (haven't counted in awhile).
I'm in for a movie marathon!
Checking-In :)My name is Ava and I am from Germany. The TT were my first challenge ever and I really loved it last year. Looking forward to it!
My favorite book right now...difficult...there are to many :)
Hello ladies! Just woke up so I'll swing by later and take the Star Wars quiz (how fun! Love stuff like that!).I still need to finish the HP series, but I can say I've at least seen all the Star Wars movies :D. Maybe I can finish them for TT since they're getting quite chunky.
I live in Florida with my husband, two kids and a dog. We just moved so some days I'm flat exhausted and not chatty, while others I overdo it on the caffeine and no one can follow me ;).
Speaking of which... off to make that first cup!
Good Morning!!Welcome aboard, everyone :) I made a new Star Wars Pinterest board last night... I have lots of fuel for pics, gifs and quizzes now! Prepare yourself, you must!
Morning everyone, and Welcome! For those of you who don't know me here, I am an avid romance reader but GR being what it is (or, rather, challenges being what they are), I have strayed a time or two from that genre. Kicking and screaming, but still got the books done when needed ;-) The great thing about romance, IM(ohso)HO, is that there is usually a sub-genre in romance for any genre out there... so when I need a thriller (gasp), or sci-fi, or whatever, I can usually find one with at least a hint of romance :-)
Anyway, I have two young(ish) boys (21 and 16) and one adult boy (husband), a cat and a dog. We all live somewhat peacefully in beautiful Indiana (#sarcasm). My favorite time of year in Indiana is coming up. That's because with May comes the Indianapolis 500 which is one of my favorite things ever. It doesn't hurt that we live near the track!
I have seen all of the Star Wars movies, repeatedly, except Rogue One. I have read and seen none of the HP books/movies, so Berit and I are sisters in that.
Favorite book...um, whichever one I read yesterday? Well, right now I'm gaga over the Bridgertons but historicals aren't my favorite genre - that would be romantice suspense, or rockstar romances, or cowboy romances, or sports romances, or, okay I give up. I don't have a favorite....
Can't wait to get started! We have a rockin' team!!!
Captain! Oh, Captain! Or Co-Captain!
1. Would you like us to link our shelves here?
2. Can we add books to our shelf when we start reading them or would you prefer we wait until they are finished? asking for a friend...
I would like to have your TT shelves linked here. Just in case something goes funny with the spreadsheets it will save LaurLa and me some time. Add as you go as long as you remember to mark the date as read!
