I am very curious about this series, and want to read them but I want to know peoples opinions who have read them, so what did you think?

I loved this series! I thought there was a good balance of humor and action and I really enjoyed the story. Really liked the characters especially, Halt. Even the horses are great characters haha. A series I wouldn't mind to read again later on. Hope that helps a bit. :)
The characters are good, the story telling is pretty good...but don't expect great plot. Seriously, the main plot changes every two to three books because it's written on a whim, not a plan.

I must say each book sorta has to be thought of having its plot be in a miniseries not a bad plot just a different one
yes there is no overacting storyline but that really isnt a problem it stops any sort of repetitive feeling it ends up feeling like some sort of tv show with the longest adventure lasting 3 or 4 books. I loved its my favorite series hands down. good luck may the wind allows blow your way
