Peter Simpson | 7 comments This is classed as Urban Fantasy but there's a large element of Mystery in it too and it has that sort of feel. A London policeman is recruited into a branch of the department that no one talks about after he sees a ghost at a crime scene.

The ghost is relevant to a series of murders that concern this special department, which deals with paranormal elements in the city's crimes. It is told first person as peter, the protagonist, learns about the magical branch of London's finance, about river gods that rule the city and much more.

The action is constant and it makes for a great read. There is a series and I expect to read all of them over time.

Sushicat | 843 comments The audiobooks of this series are excellent.

Susie I second the audiobooks. He's a fabulous narrator. I'm up to the third one.

Peter Simpson | 7 comments I've read most of them now, only missed one. I think I've had enough of this world after that many books, but I did really enjoy them.

Susie I’ve only read the first two. I’m just about ready for the next one I think. Thanks for the reminder!

Ladyslott | 1880 comments I have the first book on audio, I've had it for almost a year, maybe it's time to bump it up.

Jgrace | 3995 comments I'm always interested in good audiobook series. Thanks!
