I came across this via an excerpt from Penguin's Project Readathon, and was amused enough to look the book up and start reading. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed it, though I wasn't too keen on how the plot strayed from the original in the modernization - in particular, the the splitting in two of the Wickham character, the Lydia crisis, and how easily Liz and Darcy shack up. I heartily disliked Lydia, Kitty and Mary, but the reader is obviously supposed to. Overall it was quite fun! My rating is 3.5 but I would round up.

I agree that I sometimes got irritated by the deviations from the original because I love the original so much! I finally just let go of that expectation and enjoyed it much more. It was total chick lit fun.
We always think of Jane Austen with reverence, but do you think if she wrote today that she would write a book similar to this?! I kind of do.
