Once Upon A Fairy Tale discussion

I only just watched the Emma Watson version. Oh I got over the whole 'Hermione is role playing Belle' I really enjoyed it! Perhaps I have no respect for classics! What did everyone think?

I loved the live action! I think no matter what though, the original will always be better. I love Emma Watson but she isn't a very expressive actor and looked bored throughout a lot of the scenes and that bugged me (like when the beast changed back to human she had like, no expression on her face). I still liked it a lot though. I think Luke Evans was the shining star of that film and made that movie what it is.

Yes, Emma Watson's acting was a bit bland (not to mention her singing). but I think all the animated servants worked much better in the live action version. The juxtaposition between the actors and animation actually made me empathise more with the servants. I could understand their motivation . And Gaston totally stole the show.
