I have read Shiver countless times but I know in full at least 5 times.
I first discovered Shiver when I rediscovered my love for reading and was walking around the book store trying to look for a good selection of books and the cover caught my eye (blue is my favorite color) it was so simple and pretty and the simple description broke up in the heat, the cold, the shiver and I couldn't wait to take it home and read it.
Favorite Character: I love them all! Of course I think I have to pick Sam because I just fell in love with him. This is one of the books I was reading when I was first starting to read for pleasure again (I gave up at the start of high school and thru college, I had to much mandatory reading I felt guilty and kinda lost my desire) and it made that spark that was rekindled burn brighter and I will forever love it for that.
Favorite Quote: Sam: I thought to myself, A life is measured by moments like these.
It was just so beautiful and fitting right there and summed up Sam and Grace beautifully. There are a million more, Maggie makes it so hard.

I crouched to look at the almond bark on the bottom shelf in the counter. I wasn’t quite bold enough to look at either of them when I admitted, “Well, it was love at first sight.”
The girl sighed. “That is just so romantic. Do me a favor, and don’t you two ever change. The world needs more love at first sight.”

How did you discover the series?: Oh gosh, probably on Goodreads as a summer read years before. After reading it, I recommended it to anyone!

Who is your favourite character?: I like all the character but my favourite characters are Sam and Grace, i like that sam always protected grace, like when they first met he knew that Grace was going to be special to him in near future and he felt a connection to her that young. Thats true love guys! :-)

How did you discover this series? Honestly, no clue how I came about downloading it from Amazon. I think it just happened because I ran out of other books to read and figured, "Why not?" I'm glad I did though, it was a good trilogy.
Who is your favorite character: I, generally, liked all the characters well enough. I would pick Sam/Grace just because they happen to be the main characters.

How many times have you read Shiver?: I actually have NOT read the Shiver series yet. I just discovered Maggie Stiefvater a few months ago and read The Scorpio Races. I'm reading The Raven Boys right now and just bought all of the Shiver books the other day... so I'm looking forward to reading along with everyone here and getting to know the series.
Hello :) I Jessica from Hagerstown Maryland and I'm pretty sure I'm one of the youngest in the group at the age of 14 but I still believe I have valid thoughts and criticism to add despite my age so I decided to join. I've actually only read book one so far but I was more or less introduces by luck. By completing a summer reading challenge last year I was given a paperback copy of shiver and I've become addicted. I'd have to say my absolute favorite personality in this book is Grace's mom because she lives in her own world and nothing can pull her away from it (which is also her downfall within her family relationship but I admire it nonetheless). I can't possibly pick out a favorite quote but if I had to I think I'd mention sams lyrics. They can always be taken to a deeper human level, even outside of the book and within ourselves.

I've read the trilogy only once, and it's mostly because I can't really read/finish a book more than once unfortunately. All the memories come back and I lose interest kind of.
How did you discover the series?:
I bought a book from my favourite bookstore and it had an advertisement paper in it about other books by the publisher. I fell in love with the blue/white cover with the wolf on it. I thought it was a really creative cover and it must be a good book (total judger of covers) so I read what it actually was about. This was the period in my life when I was crazy about werewolves so it was no question, I was going to read it.
Who is your favorite character?:
Well, in the first book I must say Sam. He was so adorable, and a lovely character to read about. I was 14, so I kinda had a crush on him... But then Cole came to page, and he was really interesting, funny, etc... so he definitely counts as a favourite character as well to me c:
What is one of your favorite quotes from the series?:
Well, after finishing the trilogy I didn't even notice
for a while, that I was saying the same thing Cole always said instead of "Yes" (don't really wanna spoiler it). So this habit stayed with me for quite a long.

How did you discover the series?:I was fortunate enough to get the whole trilogy when I requested a review copy of The Raven Boys (which I adore). I had been put off reading them by all the negative comments on Goodreads and decided to go into the series with an open mind. I am so glad I did, as Maggie is now my all time fave YA author.

Hey, my name's Camille. I'm fourteen years old and I've read shiver, god, probably somewhere from 4-7 times? Not sure. Anyhoo, I discovered this lovely series by browsing at the library :) My favorite character (GEESH ITS SO HARD!!!) ummmmmmm....... Gimme a minute..... I guess Isabelle because she's just awesome like that. Sadly, I haven't reread it in a while so I'm not sure what my favorite quote is. I'll get back to you guys on that. :)

How did you discover the series?: Honestly I don't remember, but probably browsing on Amazon. since misplacing my paperback copy (I tend to gravitate toward paperbacks) I now own the trilogy in hardback.
