As promised, here is a folder to discuss all things Discworld, since it seems like we have a lot of readers for it and it is probably the biggest Guardian's list item.

How many Discworld novels have people read? What is everyone's favorite? Who is currently working on one or planning to start one in the future?

I've read:
Equal Rites
Mort
Wyrd Sisters

...and my favorite so far is...probably Equal Rites....because I love the witches...or Mort...because I love Death (as a character! sheesh!) I am really new to the series, just starting to read them when we nominated one a few months ago and super love it.

I'm hoping to get to Sourcery here in the next month or so.

Leslie | 904 comments I have finished 8 or 9 of them. I think that I like the Watch books best though I do love the witches too. And Death is a great character :)

Dennis Fischman (dfischman) | 201 comments Rona and I are enchanted with the Tiffany Aching books (pun intended). So are our 13-year-old twin nieces. When their mother asked one of them to clean something up, she replied, "It's not my fault, but it is my responsibility." Makes a book lover uncle proud!

Jamie Barringer (Ravenmount) (ravenmount) | 27 comments I read all the Discworld books in order 2 years ago. I've been 'rereading' Wee Free Men this week as an audiobook (the reader is amazing and makes the MacFeagles sound the way I imagined they should). Last week I was rereading Unseen Academicals (ho, the megapode!). I have reread almost the whole series at this point to revisit favorite scenes. I may be revisiting Jingo or Night Watch next, as timely perspectives on current events.
I also loved the Nomes(Truckers, Diggers, Wings) trilogy, not Discworld, but another set of amazing Pratchett books that deserve far more love.

Leslie | 904 comments I finished this series last year and loved it.
@Jamie - I also listened to audiobooks for the Wee Free Men & agree that the narrator was excellent.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I have really got to read these books. I've listened to some dramatizations on BBC Radio and they are a hoot!
