Secrets in Death (Spoiler Zone)

There's no way I could wait that long! I'm sorely lacking in self-discipline I'm afraid LOL. I can't keep from digging in as soon as the new one hits my kindle.

And now I just received a notice about the January release of Dark in Death....and I haven't even recovered from the anticipation of Secrets in Death. They could at least wait till Secrets was released before the advertising push comes in for Dark in death. I think I'm just a bit too cynical. Oh well, Sep 5 is just next week and all will be well.

It really wasn't discipline it was a lack of funds, needing time to get to the store, etc. My kids knew I liked books and it was usually 20 to 30% off then. After e-books became a thing I rarely wait.
I don't always read them right away...even though I have them loaded on Kindle on release day. Sometimes, I'm completing other reading commitments, sometimes I just don't have time. Either way, I sure do enjoy them when I do read them!! :)

I always have them on preorder but I usually wait until the right time to start.

Mine just came in too. Happiness is......
I just noticed that's it's already loaded on my Kindle and my phone (the way I listen to audiobooks)! Nice surprise even though I'm not starting it yet. :)

I had already preordered a copy...just didn't expect it early. Nice surprise if I had time to start it now. Sadly, I don't. But...I'm happy to have it sitting there waiting for me...building more anticipation. lol

lol - too many reading commitments/arcs that won't wait for one thing. I won't be able to wait too long.

It is hard to wait. I was going to then broke down LOL.

I so, so know how that is Sheri. It can be a pain in the butt adjusting to new pay system and timing.
The chic Manhattan nightspot Du Vin is not the kind of place Eve Dallas would usually patronize, and it’s not the kind of bar where a lot of blood gets spilled. But that’s exactly what happens one cold February evening.
The mortally wounded woman is Larinda Mars, a self-described “social information reporter,” or as most people would call it, a professional gossip. As it turns out, she was keeping the most shocking stories quiet, for profitable use in her side business as a blackmailer. Setting her sights on rich, prominent marks, she’d find out what they most wanted to keep hidden and then bleed them dry. Now someone’s done the same to her, literally—with a knife to the brachial artery.
Eve didn’t like Larinda Mars. But she likes murder even less. To find justice for this victim, she’ll have to plunge into the dirty little secrets of all the people Larinda Mars victimized herself. But along the way, she may be exposed to some information she really didn’t want to know…
