We are making some changes to the 'Hall of Fame' badge scheme. Please bear with us, as there may be a slight delay to badges being awarded and some links may not work correctly. Everything should be back to normal within the next couple of days. Thanks :)

Changes to the 'Hall of Fame' badge scheme

When we set up the 'Hall of Fame', I created a badge thread for all members who had completed a challenge. I guess that wasn't a very good plan as some people have since told me they weren't even aware that their thread existed! Oops. Sorry about that.

We are now asking members who would like to continue collecting badges to create their own badge threads. Even if you already have a thread created by me, please create a new one in the linked folder - Hall of Fame.

All of the badges you have previously earned will be transferred to your new thread.

Not everybody is interested in collecting badges and that's fine. Asking those of you who are interested to create their own threads will save me setting up threads and awarding badges to members who don't want them. When you complete a challenge, you will be prompted to create a badge thread if you have not already done so, however, you can just disregard this if you have no interest in collecting badges. If you let me know you're not collecting, I will try to remember not to prompt you every time you complete a challenge!

You will still need to re-post your whole challenge as a new message to be considered to have completed that challenge.

This message will be posted on all badge threads created by me to alert members to the changes.

If you have any questions, please comment below. Thank you :)

Kim. E. | 254 comments Caroline, could you please give me a week to finally figure out how to move my badges. I'm so slow learning new things since my stroke, and this one seems to be a .....

Kim, you don't need to move your badges. Just set up your thread in the folder linked in the post above and I'll do the rest :)

The instructions to create your own thread are in the linked folder under the topic "Start Collecting Badges" which is the first topic in the folder. If you need any more help just shout.

Laura (laurakyhaara) It's been a while since I've been active in this group, but I think I completed a challenge last month. Do I need to re-post it to get a badge?

All completed challenges need to be re-posted as a new message when you finish to count as completed, whether you are collecting badges or not. Adding the words 'Finished' or 'Completed' really helps me out too. Even if you don't hit the level you were aiming for, you should re-post anyway as you might still be eligible for a lower level badge :)

If you don't already have one, you will need to create yourself a thread in the linked folder for me to post your badge to - Hall of Fame. Thanks.
