Wikipedia refers to the March books as a trilogy and I do not see any planned future books. I will approve this.
I am interested inDragonsinger. I see in this article in Wikipedia these 3 books are called a trilogy. Is this acceptable?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonr...

Yes, and that is shown as a Trilogy on GR as well.

Ok thanks - for some reason the GR entry just confused me! ha, ha...
Karin wrote: "If we read more than one book in the same trilogy, can that count as repeating this task?"Yes.
Marie wrote: "Would Into the Blue be ok ? It is part of a 3-books serie, but I'm not sure it fits for a trilogy"
While it isn't clear that there won't be more in the series, it has been 10+ years since the last one, and we'll allow it.
Do we need to get approval for these? I'm looking at these:Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
https://www.goodreads.com/series/6429...
- can't find any trilogy links
The Year of the Flood and MaddAddam
https://www.goodreads.com/series/5567...
described as a trilogy on her website http://margaretatwood.ca/maddaddam-tr...
The New Policeman
https://www.goodreads.com/series/4438...
described as "New Policeman or Liddy trilogy" under Children's Novels here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Th...
The Sterkarm Handshake
https://www.goodreads.com/series/7019...
described as a trilogy in the Amazon description of the last book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sterkarm-Try...

No, approval not required. I think Marie wanted to make sure that a 3-part series is the same as a trilogy, and that we would approve hers as "completed" as the task requires.
Should I also confirm Quicksilver which is the first book in a trilogy published from 2003-2004? At this point in time, I'm planning to read it for Trilogies.
What about contained trilogies within a larger series? Things like Assassin's Apprentice or The Sword of Shannara.
Sam wrote: "What about contained trilogies within a larger series? Things like Assassin's Apprentice or The Sword of Shannara."Yes, those will work for this task.
Karin wrote: "Should I also confirm Quicksilver which is the first book in a trilogy published from 2003-2004? At this point in time, I'm planning to read it for Trilogies."Yes, that will work.
Would Mississippi Blood work? It is listed as Penn Cage #6, however the GR description states it is the third book in the Natchez Burning trilogy. Thanks!
Melissa(SweetMelissa) wrote: "Would Mississippi Blood work? It is listed as Penn Cage #6, however the GR description states it is the third book in the Natchez Burning trilogy. Thanks!"Yes, and thanks for pointing that out, as we might have missed it. Please mention the trilogy name when you post, in case we don't remember (or I don't remember, Kate probably would anyway).
And welcome to RwS!
Okay, then I'll add that Quicksilver is the first book in The Baroque Cycle trilogy. I already mentioned the book here, but not the trilogy name.
Karin wrote: "Okay, then I'll add that Quicksilver is the first book in The Baroque Cycle trilogy. I already mentioned the book here, but not the trilogy name."Yes, that appears up top on the book page, whereas one has to look deeply for Melissa's trilogy. When we're doing scorekeeping, sometimes the less obvious is overlooked.

Okay, great.
I'm guessing this won't work, but I'll ask anyways to be sure. The Angel's Game is part of a series that has 3 books in English, but there is a 4th that's only been published in a couple languages. Would it count since we use MPE edition?

Not necessarily because of the translation/MPE issue, but I don't know that it is decided that this is a completed series. One never knows ...
Sam wrote: "It was worth a shot ;) thanks!"Oh, phooey! I thought this was a trilogy and had planned on book 3. Of course I do have some backups;)
Would Little Fuzzy work for this task? The author wrote just the three books in the series. All the other books are extras by other authors.
Coralie wrote: "Would Little Fuzzy work for this task? The author wrote just the three books in the series. All the other books are extras by other authors."We're going to say no to this one. You can read more about our reasoning in this article, specifically the 3rd paragraph and more in the Plot Summary section.

Will this count as a "completed trilogy"? Fall of the Gas-Lit Empire seriesThe author Rod Duncan on his goodreads author page has said:
(question) Will there be a fourth (or more) book/s in "the Fall of the Gaslit Empire," sir? Very, VERY pleased with the first three.
(answer) I'm so glad you enjoyed the first three. Feedback like that makes the whole process worth it.
As for your question - I am presently writing a novel that follows on from where we left off at the end of The Custodian of Marvels. I think that will be presented as book 1 in a new trilogy rather than book 4 of the Fall of the Gas-Lit Empire.

Yes, that comment sounds as if the author plans not to *specifically* continue the series. Please remind me, as usual. ;-)
I just completed the audiobook, The Mother of All Questions by Rebecca Solnit. At the end of the book, she thanks many and says of a colleague she is "grateful for the design genius of Abby Weintraub (sp?) who made the title Men Explain Things to Me, into words so bold and clear, that the small book served as a placard and provocation, a design we kept for Hope in the Dark, and this book, which completes a trilogy that was always about hope as well as violence and struggle."

I have set it up as a trilogy on Goodreads, and you may claim it for this task.

I am currently reading Promise of Blood which calls itself book 1 of the Power Mage trilogy. Does this still count as a trilogy or do all those short stories disqualify it?https://www.goodreads.com/series/9960...

I think we'll discount this as a trilogy with all of those stories intermingled.
Don (The Book Guy) wrote: "Will this work for this task? Constitutional Journal: A Correspondent's Report from the Convention of 1787 In the description it says it is part of a trilogy but I'm not sure."Yes, that works!
Would Earth Girl count? It was a trilogy and is still called that, but now she's put out related novellas. (so frustrating, those novellas).
Karin wrote: "Would Earth Girl count? It was a trilogy and is still called that, but now she's put out related novellas. (so frustrating, those novellas)."Sorry, no.

That's okay, I thought that. Nothing like ruining a perfectly good trilogy with more books!!!!! But I have it here and it is a debut. I keep ending up with books for debut where the author hasn't written more than 3 books altogether, but I got this for something else in another group, so I'm all set :).

In honor of Paradise and The Return of the King, read a book that is part of a completed trilogy.
