Shearwater by DS Murphy has a mermanish as one of the main characters. I think it was and ok read, but it's on my shit list cause it's one of those books that just STOPS in the middle of everything. Can't remember if the author was making one of those 'chapter books' or maybe I remember something about her 'releasing the first part to allow readers to comment'... Eitherway, pissed me off the way it ended, so I haven't bother to see if she has finished it or released the next book etc.

Haven't looked through these book rec threads in a while, but I've never been let down in the past so I figure I'd give this one a try again. I'm in the middle of working on my summer reading list and I'm looking for some good recs on books with a merman as either the protagonist or co-protag instead of the usual siren. Looking for romance, and I don't mind if we're getting the POV from the human love interest. Also don't mind if its basically a rehash of "The Little Mermaid" but with a merman instead.
Really appreciate any recs you guys can offer, and thanks ahead of time for any you can provide!
