The Wide Web of Friends in YA Books discussion

I saw the trailer. It doesn't look like it's remaining faithful to the book:/ it looks like it's trying to be divergent

If I'm honest, I think it is going to be terrible. Not just because it looks very far from the book, but it just looks like a terrible movie all around

It looks like it could possibly be an exciting sci-fi movie, but not at all similar to the book. Fiona has a much larger part, the whole idea of changing the Community's principles is a widespread rebellion instead of a private thing with the Giver and Jonas, I saw a hovercraft I think?
I'm curious about how they're going to do (view spoiler)[The color-blind part. Will it be in color, and then shown as black-and-white through Jonas's eyes or something? (hide spoiler)]
I'm also curious of Taylor Swift cast as Rosemary because (view spoiler)[Rosemary is dead. Maybe the Giver will transfer a memory of her to Jonas? Also, Receivers are supposed to be assigned their jobs when they're 12, and Taylor Swift is around 24, I think. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, Taylor Swift may be 24. The actor who is playing the Receiver is 24 as well. So neither look 12:p probably flashbacks
