I'm Shirley. Thanks to my parents' love of politics and history, I grew up touring historical sites and I love reading historical nonfiction, especially around the growth and continued workings of this country and Constitution. I just finished Ambrose's book on Nixon's early years and John Nixon's book on the debriefing of Saddam Hussein. I'm looking forward to books and discussions that broaden my horizons and deepen my understanding of how this country came to be and how it evolved over the 2+ centuries we've been around.
