I love reading, but I'm a really slow reader and when I try to keep up with someone who reads faster than me I don't understand it at all. Anybody got any advice for me?

madeson- go at your own pace. if you read at an unnatural speed it. will become a task instead of a hobby. I myself get through a book each day but everybody is different. if you relax and read at a pace you feel comfortable with it will be a much better experience. xxx

I would say, just keep reading at your own peace and don't worry about others who read faster than you. And if you keep reading a lot you will become a fast reader sooner or later. But don't rush yourself or read something just to keep up. Otherwise, you'll lose all the joy.
I was a very slow reader back in high school. Reading 20 pages was tough. Now I start my day with reading about 50 pages. Most often I read something between 100-200 pages daily (depends on time) but it happens that I read over 300pg book in just one day.
So don't worry, I'm sure your reading habits will improve with time :)
