Part 5

Please do not discuss events from later chapters/books. Referring back to events from a previous section/book is fine.

Nynaeve finally stopped complaining and made a plan to get Rand to talk to her and put it off really well. Rand used to info to find Graendel and take her out using Balefire, I wonder if she didn't get herself out and trick Rand yet again.

Rand has a disastrous meeting with Tuon who foolishly is planning on attacking the White Tower. At least things are starting to progress.

Mat has Aludra working on crossbows now that her plans for her Dragons/cannons are finalized and waiting on material resources to build. He gets a visit from Verin and a gateway to Camelyn. Still some mystery with what Verin left in the note. She is now in the Tower with Egwene.

Rand's plan for confirming Graendel's death is both very clever and downright cold blooded. Min's viewing about Dragonmount being under a dark cloud rather than above it is quite telling I think.

Nyneave goes to Cadsuane and agrees to obey her instructions in an effort to help save Rand from the dark path he seems to be walking now. She's being sent to find Perrin. I dont remember her plan but right now the cynic is me thinks Perrin and Rand will have a Brood off.

I remember liking Tuon in my original read. I'm not sure if it's the current state of the United States or simply more awareness on my part this time, but I don't get how I ever liked her. She doesn't view anyone who can channel as a person, but more like an animal that must be collared and "cared" for. It's disgusting. It angers me to the point of being mad at Mat too for courting/marrying someone so terrible. I know he's not a fan of Aes Sedai, but even he knows how bad the Seachan enslavement is so that he saved several of them when he left.

I remember more of what's going on with Verin from my original read. I dont recall though if we get that resolution in this book or a later one. I hope it's this book so we can discuss it in a later section.

Ya Rand is really slipping, and even Min can't help him, Nyaneve added to team Rand is an good idea, and I agree she definitely cares for Rand more than Cadusane.

I did not like Tuon from start, and now instead of joining armies with Rand she has gone in opposite direction. I think when Rand will come to know about her plans he is not going to leave Seanchan alone.

So it was Verin who was distributing Mat's pictures.
