Last year I re-read Onions in the Stew by Betty MacDonald and I would love to re-read The Egg and I and her Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle series. But I don't usually re-read books because my to read list is so long.
The Fresco
and
The Gate to Women's Country
, both by Sheri Tepper, and
Her Smoke Rose Up Forever
, a collection of stories by James Tiptree, Jr. (Alice Sheldon). Oh, and
Remnant Population
by Elizabeth Moon (re-reading that one for a face2face bkclub right now.
The two I've re-read most often are Truman Capote's A Christmas Memory
and
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
I keep not getting around to A Christmas Memory even though Truman Capote is basically my patron saint...
A few of my fave re-reads:Floating Dragon
The Godwhale
The Stand
Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders
I laughed myself to sleep re-reading parts of New Rules: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer. I remain amazed that he accurately predicted, years ago, so many things that are happening today.

Do you have any books that you need to re-read periodically?
