Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ OMG! He just snapped her finger in place. I am liking the dynamic between the friends. I am really enjoying the read. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[ They kissed. I wonder what Jude will do now. Also, I have to say her mother sound pretty weird if she let a boy stay at home with her daughter. It does not seem like a good thing to do. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15: (view spoiler)[ I wonder whose voices the audio picked up. Also, how is the video blank? Wasn't it recording while the audio got the voices? I am sensing something odd. I am really loving this book now. (hide spoiler)]

Ending Thoughts: (view spoiler)[ I loved this story. It was innovative. I really liked the relationship between Jude and Kane. It was slow burning and tender. I love these types of romances. I also loved the friendship between Jude and her friends. They are awesome. I give this book a 4.5/5. (hide spoiler)]

Prologue

(view spoiler)[Despite the fact that we learn of Jude's father's death (murder?) in the prologue, overall I found it to be a really sweet and memorable beginning to the novel. Reading about how much she loved her father, and how much she wanted to be like him as a kid was really beautiful and truly made me smile. Really brilliant and genuine beginning c: (hide spoiler)]

Prologue:
(view spoiler)[Same! The prologue had the same effect on me! I assumed the Dad was murdered because a) that's kind of cliche and b) this is a YA novel. If he was murdered then I am very intrigued to see who murdered him and I hope the book explores that.
Also, Ithink the Dad's a werewolf. That's what I thought because he eats raw meat and whatever. That's what I thought, anyway. (hide spoiler)]

Ch3

(view spoiler)[Okay, Kane seems like an absolute sweetheart, and I am 100% rooting for him and Jude to get together :| He's just such a genuine and sweet guy.

On a side note, I think that Jude's Dad was one of those Phoenix-people, and that he may have been killed for it. And their neighbours who moved in an awful hurry following his death (murder) may also be Phoenix people... (hide spoiler)]

@Kadi yeah it was a little cliched, but I really can't begrudge the author that xD it just happens a lot in YA novels :P as for the (view spoiler)[raw meat, I think he's probably a Phoenix (or part Phoenix) rather than a werewolf because it was also mentioned that he didn't eat birds ;D

I mean, I know Phoenix are normally depicted as eating fruit, berries, typical "bird" foods - but maybe it's different in this? (hide spoiler)]

Jones is clearly a really good friend :) He's doing really well at talking her through things without telling her what to do or taking control, just giving her the information and support she needs to come to her own conclusion.

I am definitely Team Kane for this, and I seriously hope there isn't going to end up being a love triangle between Jude, kane and Rylin :|

Rylin also seems pretty suspicious too... I think he's either one of the Phoenix-people mentioned, or he's from a family that hunts or otherwise hurts Phoenix people. Either of those would make sense considering the rush he and his family were in to leave the neighbourhood after Jude's dad died :|

Plus, the whole song thing is very Phoenix-y :P (hide spoiler)]

Ch16

(view spoiler)[Wait... is Kane one of the Phoenix-people? (I forgot what they're called ages ago and the name hasn't been mentioned since :P)

I mean, the person who took the video of the Phoenix can't remember... and now Kane is apparently erasing the memories of people who saw him as a Phoenix (though not Jude).

Maybe Kane and his family, and Jude's father, and maybe Rylin and his family, are all Phoenixes... but Jude's not? Or maybe she's only half? There definitely seems t o be something about her considering she can apparently understand the language, and she can "smell" something different about Kane... and "hear music" from Rylin...

...I'm super confused right now :|

Edit: WHOOPS. They're called Firebloods. Something else was mentioned as a name for them and I completely blanked that they were also called Firebloods which is of course why I've been calling them "Phoenix-people" :P What was the other name they were calledddddddd D:

@Natalie fast! Even though I'm a fast-ish reader it's taking me awfully long to get through this

End of Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[I have to admit that up until now I had been a bit sceptical of how brilliant this book actually is but oh boy once the intrigue kicks in I got to admit that I'm craving the answers here. Firebloods? What are they really? Is Jude one? Was her dad one? I NEED TO KNOW NOW.
On another note: The way Frankie is described as perfect is really getting to me. Everyone knows that authors should give their characters flaws because it makes them more realistic. I get its a fantasy book but still; please make your characters believable.
Also, I don't get what Jude's problem is. Why won't she just go out with Kane? I mean she likes him and he likes her but Jude won't EXPLICITLY say what the problem is so I'm confused by that. (hide spoiler)]
