What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

It is a series of books that have to do with an off world planet. The guardians have wings and powers. They live in a home that is suspended in the sky. They protect the people/city on the planet that they are assigned to. The one I'm thinking about is when a female from Earth comes to this planet to work as a housekeeper to one of the guardians. The Guardian had been "sleeping" under water for decades until he feels the housekeeper on the beach.

Michelle--is this a full length novel or a novella or short story? There is a series of novella/short story length books by Viola Grace that have this idea (sci-fi superhero/superheroine characters.) What you've described takes place in several of the books, but the "housekeeper" one occurs in a specific book. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly which one it is. But there are either 3 or 4 books that follow one after the other and are all set on the same world, including the housekeeper (Only I think they call her a Caregiver) who cooks, cleans and generally makes sure that everyone on the base is taken care of, including the human women who go there and fall in love with and marry the Guardians. There are about 95 or so books in the 3 series, and I'm going cross-eyed trying to find the correct one. Even if this isn't the one/s that you are looking for, I'm sure you will enjoy them anyway.

Thanks for the information, Ann. These were full length novels. The one with the Caregiver, she is the one that falls in love with the Guardian. In another book, the heroine owns a nightclub with her Father and he's more of a con artist that gets in trouble. The Guardian for this city protects her from the local thug.
