Cat's Coffee
Theodosia walked into the Coffee Shop. She was cold from the swim practice she had earlier and she had to study. She found a cozy window seat and set her stuff down. She took out her Trig textbook and began to review.
Tevi wandered into the Coffee Shop. He was really tired from his shift at Icy Delight, and had spent the last hour looking for his Trigonometry book which he had lost. Looking around his gaze fell on the book a girl was reading in the corner. Shifting uncomfortably he paused then made his way over to her table.
Theo sensed someone walking towards her. She snapped her head up and saw a boy walking towards her. "Can I help you?" she asked with a slight scowl.
Tevi hesitated, caught off guard by her scowl."I was.. wondering if I could check something in your book." He frowned, looking apologetic.
"I lost my book."
"Ah....sure...I guess," Theo said and smiled. She gestured to the seat next to her, "I can study French while your looking at the book." She set the book in the seat next to her and dug in her bag.
Tevi let out a giant sigh of relief."Thanks so much! I won't take long." He sat down and immediately started flipping through pages. Finding the page he wanted he took out a note pad and started writing numbers down furiously, not giving the girl a second glance.
"I mean take as long as you would like, I really don't want to study Trig today," Theo said. She pulled out her notebook, pens and her French book, she began to take notes from the first chapter. "Dang, you write really fast!" she exclaimed.
Tevi smiled and shook his head, rolling his eyes."None of the teachers can read it my writing." he flipped back a few pages, and paused, silently calculating in his head. After a moment he wrote something down, circled it and dropped his pencil.
"I was right." He grinned, talking more to himself then the girl.
"I'm Tevi by the way."
"I'm Theodosia but please call me Theo," Theo said, "I always get complements on my handwriting because it's so neat. " She went back to the textbook in her lap. "I'm going to get something to drink, you want anything?" she said while shoving it aside.
Tevi pulled out his wallet."nice to meet you Theo." He smiled absentmindedly at her.
"I'll get a smoothie." He passed her a bill, it was the last of what he had until he got his paycheck. Tilting his head he read the front of her other textbook.
"French?" He laughed. "You must be pretty smart."
"Any preference to what flavor?" Theo asked gently taking the bill out of his hands, " I also take Physics and Latin, my cousin is always like did the smart gene miss me or something."
"Nah, I don't really come here often, you can choose." Tevi grinned."I mean everyone who goes here is a genius, but I think people learning a second language are amazing." He shook his head. "I'm pretty bad with languages, unless you count math as one."
"I'm so bad at math," Theo said, "I prefer languages to math." She got up and grabbed her wallet. "I'll be right back." she said while strolling to the counter.
"Alright." Tevi absentmindedly jotted down a few more numbers on his page, forehead creased with concentration. Sitting back he re-read the numbers, frowning and then opened one of his own textbook on calculus.
Theo came back with two smoothies. "So I got Peach Mango and just a plain Mango." she said while setting them on the table. She set the smoothies down on the table. "You can pick what ever one you want, I won't mind." She sat back on to her chair and took her French book in her lap.
Lisa enters the coffee shop, fidgeting with her phone like she always does when she feels out of place. It was her first day, and she had dumped her stuff in her dorm before heading out in need of some coffee to give her a caffeine boost before exploring the campus.

Emily entered the coffee shop, her blonde hair tousled around her shoulders as she hummed a song that she really liked, it was catchy and it happened to be a Harry Styles song. As she looked around the coffee shop, she decided to get a mocha, her usual order. As she stepped in line, she looked over at a girl who was fidgeting with her phone. "Are you okay?" Emily asked curiously.
((Emily))Lisa glances from the menu to the girl standing beside her. "Hm?" She blinks, off-guard, before noticing her fidgeting. "Oh, right-" A small grin breaks out as Lisa nods at the stranger, "Yeah, I'm fine. It's my first day, so I guess I'm just a bit nervous."

Emily looked back over at the girl and gave her a soft smile. "Do you go to Blue Lake? I know that place so well, mostly because my mom works there." She replied. "The first day is always the toughest, but you will do great! I'm Emily by the way."
((Emily))Lisa grins wider at her words, stepping to the side to let Emily stand next to her. "Name's Lisa," she replies, "And thank you. What's your mom's job?" She was glad there was at least someone who seemed nice, because she's talkative by nature and had been worried she wouldn't find anyone to talk to.

Emily smiled whenever Lisa let her stand next to her in line. "Oh. She is the principal. I know, that's a very big job, but she loves doing it." Emily stated with a smile. "Also, it is very nice to meet you, Lisa! Welcome to Blue Lake."
(( Emily ))"Well," Lisa gives a low whistle, glancing Emily up and down, "Does that put any pressure on you to do extra well?" She steps onto the counter to order, but throws a grin back at Emily, "Nice to meet you too." After ordering, she stands to the side to wait for her coffee and tilts her head, "Say, can you show me around if you're not busy? Maybe some of your friends? I kind of want to get used to this place before class starts again."
(i'm not sure if they're out for the summer and just staying over the summer just because or if school never ends)
((Theo))Tevi was so concentrated on his math problem that he didn't even notice Theo coming back. When he finally noticed that she had come back, he jumped a little.
"Sorry, did you say something?" He narrowed his eyes, trying to remember what she had said.
"Oh, smoothies right." He took the one nearest to him, and gave Theo and apologetic grin.
"Sorry, I sort of zone out when I do math."
((Tevi))"Don't worry about that, I get like that in all my classes besides math." Theo said. She went back to her French Textbook and pulled out a book in French and her laptop. "I hate French translations," she exclaimed.
((Theo)) Tevi shrugged and tasted the smoothie.
"Nice choice." He smiled slightly. It was very hot out, and the smoothies were a perfect choice for summer. Taking another sip, he went back to him math problem, flipping back and forth from his calculus book to his notebook.
((Tevi))Theo looked up and smiled, "Mango and Peach Mango are mine and my cousins favorites." She went back to her book and began to translate the chapter into English on her laptop.

Emily thought about the question for a little bit, nodding and pursing her lips a little bit as she got her coffee. "Yeah. It's tough." She replied with a nod, giving Lisa a smile. "Of course! We can go and look around the school if you would like to."
(( Emily / haha okay, let's just pretend then ;) ))Lisa grins brightly at her, "Great! What are you studying? Favorite places?" Winking, she nudges Emily teasingly, "Any cute guys you have an eye on?" She hoped she wasn't being too touchy, since it was in her personality but some people were thrown off by it.

"Government actually! It is very interesting and I have learned lots about it." Emily replied with a smile, laughing whenever Lisa nudged her teasingly. "Nah. Not really." She replied, still laughing. "What about you? Any cute guys that you like?" Emily teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
(( Emily / Sorry! I got distracted by tumblr haha ))Lisa raises an eyebrow, laughing a little, "I just arrived this morning. I'm flattered you think I could find a boy that fast." She flips her hair dramatically, "But what can I say?" She grins, starting to walk out of the coffeeshop so that Emily could show her around, "If we see any on this spontaneous tour, I'll be sure to tell you."
((Theo))Tevi glanced over at what she was doing with interest, before returning to his math problem. After a moment of silence, he closed his book and leaned back in his chair.
"So, do you have any family here?" He glanced at her curiously.
(( Tevi ))"Yep, I've got a cousin here and supposedly my other cousin is coming." Theo said, "My cousin isn't that smart yet she is in Trig, which I find weird." She went back to her book, "But I lover so much ."
((Theo))Tevi shrugged. "She has to be smart to get into this school." Grabbing his bag he pulled out a calculator and set it out next to his notebook. Suddenly he winced and squeezed his eyes shut, chuckling slightly.
(( Tevi ))"Are you okay?" Theo asked. She shut her laptop and looked at Tevi. She then started giggling a little.

Emily chuckled softly as she held her mocha tightly in her hands. "You know what? That sounds great." She added with a soft smile and a nod as she stepped out of the coffee shop with Lisa.

((Theo))Tevi shook his head and laughed.
"Sorry... brain freeze." He grimaced and put his head in his hands. After a moment he looked back up at Theo and grinned.
"Okay, I'm good now."
Sitting in a booth near the corner, Merlin put in her earbuds and played her music while silently humming along. Cheerleading Practice was hard, and took alot of energy. She just needed a quiet place to rest.
Watching someone run in, she thought they'd must have been exercising. Or maybe just running in general. Merlin had done that plenty times before . "Over here!" She waved to him. Nobody wanted to sit with a stuffy adult.
"Why yes, yes I do. I major in sports. How about you?" Merlin asked taking out her earbuds, finnaly focusing on one thing, he was very attractive. It's just a thing she notices, when someone is good looking she either thinks it or says it.
Nice to know Alex, I'm Merlin." Alex... where had she heard that name before? It seemed familar, but Merlin payed no mind to it. "So what brings you here?"
"That sounds so cool! Writing is a hard process in general, how long does it take to write a song?" Merlin asked smiling a bit as he ignored his phone, that was kind. "Oh, I play girl's basketball, soccer, cheerleading, and gymnastics."
"It is, my next game... hmm crap I forgot! I've been studying all weekend, and I just finished cheer. If I see you at school though, I'll definitely tell you." Merlin added with a smile. She really should stay on top of her studies.
"Wait. Are you the Alex that bothered my brother!?" Merlin exclaimed as he got up. "Well I-I... ugh!" She was confused, dang it! Why couldn't some other guy be that Alex!?
"I-I'm earnestly confused! Well I mean are you sincerely sorry? I don't hate you, (my brother might) I really don't. I'm confused, he explained you as a brute with no sense of selfcontrol..." Merlin was honestly trying to figure out what happened.
"Haha. Yeah." This was so awkward! When his phone rang again, Merlin raised an eyebrow. "I do hope I'm not keeping you from anything important!" She apologized. "It's okay, though my brothers the one you have to watch out for... he can be a bit, erm, - he holds a grudge." Merlin chuckled.
Chuckling, she grabbed her backpack. "Well, I hope they're okay." Merlin said double checking to make sure she had everything. A slight blush came to Merlin's face. She'd never been on a real date... and this guy was funny, kind and cute. "I wouldn't be opposed to it... before he's done loathing you would be okay." Merlin said with a slight laugh.
