Okat we've got one week left until July! I nominate that we nominate! Personally, I'm going for
The Siren by keira case! I know Howard's read and reviewed and I'm a big fan of hers from The Selection series. We're a little group so I'll go for a majority rules scenario when selecting.

My vote is for The Call of the Deep. (I've read Unchained Melody, The Siren, and The Selection Series- all amazing, and I want to read Merminia before Keeping Merminia).
Dawn have you seen that TMO, The Call Of The Deep and Merminia are all going free together next Thursday and Friday?
Okay okay, I vote to vote for the Siren because it looks the best on the nomination list ;) lol
Oh my! Reading back over this I just realised how bad it looks.. Let me clarify.. As I was typing this response there was only one nomination (The Siren) and so this was me being cheeky about the one book nomination list. I didn't see talk of TCOTD or Mermina till now Lol

How about we split the difference? The Call Of the Deep and The Siren for those who haven't read either ?
Ok I'm in.. since I have read TCOTD (and waiting very patiently for the sequel) I will go with the Siren

Is the plan to read The One, and then the Call Of The Deep? Or is it a choose one or the other thing?

It's either Call of the Deep or Siren as I understand it. I've already read both so I've only paid mild attention to July's BOTM.
I'm excited for the discussion on The Siren. :) I read it a while ago, but really liked it. Thank you S.K., I was wondering if there was anyone to read it with. Thanks Emm. :)
Just finished reading TCOTD- read it really slowly. I'm excited for the sequel- does anyone have any idea when it will be out?
All right Jen I finished!!!! Absolutely LOVED that ending! Not so sure about the 200 pages before it though... I'm torn

Okay so there was too much time passing in chunks, for me anyway. I get the importance of background information, but I felt like it really upset the pacing. I was moved in the end- very moved and actually very caught off guard which I liked but... well the connection to the ocean felt kind of artificial to me. Maybe it was the way she always referred to it as HER took so much of the emotion out of it for me? I didn't enjoy it until Akinli found her in the woods, and then when she vanished for months again, I think it kind of fractured something.
I think maybe I'm not a big fan of time passing in present tense, if that makes sense. New Moon nailed it- October. January. February. That was a bit brilliant. The only book I do pass huge periods of time in, (my own) is Unchained melody and I prefer to snap things to the present with a bit of reflections as opposed to: 'Then we went here. Then we did this. And I was happy to see them again but sad. Then this happened. Then we went there.' Like at the start of Stained glass, 9 months have lapsed but If I'd started the story with : 'After we got married, we went on our honeymoon. And then while we were on our honeymoon, Tristan wore this and looked awesome. then after...' yawwwwnnnnnnn
