Nightmares and Dreamscapes discussion

Is it just me, or does Stephen King rock it? I've been looking to model after great writers in my own journey as a writer. What is it about his writing that you like? I love his ability to casually suspend time like no one else I have ever read. Another thing that I love about his work is his ability to make you laugh in the middle of the nightmare he's dumped you into! When one has it, they have it....and he just 'has it'
