Hello, I started and the first person ("I") is Holly Devine(22) when 6 was abused at a "Apple Tree Day Care"? In "Body Double" (#4) Jane said she would never see her crazy mom again, but visits her in a large ICU hospital. Cassandra Coyle is dead with "Blue Eyes" in her hand & Timothy McDougal killed Arrows at a Boston airport pier. Another man enters meets her with Blue Eyes? Will they be significant?
I have the book, but will not be able to begin reading it until after the Labor Day (USA) weekend. Family visiting....
I have an advance copy but am a slow reader. I am now waiting for an audiobook from the library to help me finish.
Father Brophy helps research murders found are 20 years old? Murders relate to Martyrs. And a "Apple Tree Day Care" case.
The book's has nice flow with 3 out 5 murders traced. The actual killer is a nice surprise. It's - 5 star - book to me.

I hope I enjoy the ending as much as you :-) I will likely finish this weekend.
It amazes me how Tess continues to keep this series fresh and vibrant with such variety of subject matter. As a fan, I can't even guess what territory she will choose to explore next with Jane and Maura. Twelve books strong and this series has not dulled!

The crime scene is unlike any that Detective Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles have ever before encountered. The woman lies in apparently peaceful repose on her bed, and Maura finds no apparent cause of death, but there is no doubt the woman is indeed dead. The victim's eyes have been removed and placed in the palm of her hand, a gesture that echoes the terrifying films she produces. Is a crazed movie fan reenacting scenes from those disturbing films? When another victim is found, again with no apparent cause of death, again with a grotesquely staged crime scene, Jane and Maura realize the killer has widened his circles of targets. He's chosen one particular woman for his next victim, and she knows he's coming for her next. She's the only one who can help Jane and Maura catch the killer. But she knows a secret. And it's a secret she'll never tell.
