Michelle posted a while ago saying that we could figure out what Joseph's ability was after he was saved by Mara and Noah. I think his ability is that he can tell when people are lying and is able to now the truth instantly. Anyone else have any other theories?

I think that's an interesting possibility. I think it also make him a good liar as well.

I think he really has that ability and also that is the reason why he doesn't tell lies,because he can sense people lying and he hates it,so he's always honest ^_^ tiny Joseph is a lie detector

Super late to this convo but I actually have a theory for this. We know that the abilities are genetic and Mara’s ability is the same or super similar to her grandmother’s. We also know that both her parents didn’t have abilities and Mara’s mom was an only child, so the only logical place Joseph could get his genetic ability from is their grandfather on their mother’s side. And their grandfather is A.L.- there’s that whole scene where Mara remembers her grandmother and The Professor doing the thing and then mentioning how 9 months later she was pregnant. (I’ve thought about this a lot sorry)
